Yes, Platini and the cartel, just for starters, would be thrilled if we finished 6th. Reality is that the future success of the "project" depends on us finishing 4th and then going on to qualify for the Champions League itself. With so much at stake, cups and Europa qualification are just flotsam.

correct. im starting to really get keen to your sensibility that we've got a fuclin clogger in charge. i just can't for the life of me understand what we're fuclin doing. it's painful to watch really. we played a few nice things today...SWPs disallowed goal was fun to watch, but jesus we're fucking dire with the lumping the ball upfield and losing possession, etc. And we're a team of midgets that we're lumping the ball too as well. Everytime Bellamy and Tevez go up for a header it's laffable.

Top 4 not a chance on current form. Not a chance unless we really shake some shit up soon. Can Hughes do that? i'm starting to really doubt it to be honest. I'm sad about that too because i think he's got the potential. this job, right now, was just one step too far i'm thinking. if the cunt wins a cup everyone will herald him as a genuis, but if we finish 6th or 7th he should still be fired. I'm sorry but that's just common sense. We have too much at stake here.

cheers

I've never denied that he has the possibility of getting us there, just not a probability! As I've said before, it's easy to be impressed by him when we aren't playing matches. He talks a good game and makes impressive signings. But as we play games, it all unravels. A lot has to do with his comfort zone IMO, and he has to step out of it to make the step up in class that is needed to do this job. He was braver today and it almost paid off. But the overpriced average players are his undoing at the moment. I'm sadly starting to class Tevez in that group with RSC and Jolene. They aren't the genuine top class articles that their price tags suggest and the pressure of living up to those price tags is actually turning them from fairly decent players to poor players.
