He is still young and inexperienced in such games though and I think it is very noticeable that Mancini has kept him on the pitch to give him the maximum experience of these situations and I am sure we will see a different Aguero in high pressure games in the future.

Finishing wasn't great but he won and carried ball for our second goal and set yaya through 1 on 1 which he fucked up.not his best game but lets not take class for granted.

On a rewatch of the MOTD highlights today and a clearer head than last night, a couple of comments:

WTF was with everyone on our team falling/slipping over all fucking game. Yaya when through on goal obviously the most obvious but we almost got in trouble a few times when players fell over for no apparent reason.

Great tracking back and tackle from Dzeko to dispossess Newcastle for the move which led to Yaya's abovementioned fall.

Sergio's finishing was a bit off par last night but what an outlet he is. His workrate and pace were fantastic when we were on the break.

Silva looked to be approaching his best again. His passing and movement were top quality.

What's really impressed me about Silva in the last two games is the way he's got stuck in & worked for the team. He's been more of an all round grafting midfielder rather than purely a creative genius. Both he and Nasri put a shift in imo.

Agreed....he's a tough little wiry bastard isn't he. It's incredible how hard he is to knock off the ball but also how he can actually put it about and he does really graft. I think that front four could be terrifyingly good next season.

I thought our attackers looked a little out of sync yesterday which I think was a result of them not being on top form and Newcastle defending well.

The 2 biggest things that have impressed me over the last 5 games:-

The workrate of the team. Basically all that happened post Arsenel was that Balotelli was removed fro the fray and Tevez was brought back in. The rest of the personel is basically the same. And how much more of a team we look. It looks like Mario was the bad egg all along.

Mancini's management. On and off the pitch you cannot fault him since Arsenel. He played the media like a fiddle and has seen the value and seized oppotunity to play a settled team. Hopefully he has learnt from his mistakes. Tip of the cap.
