Reason to be cheerful

Postby Evenmydoghatesunited » Mon Jun 25, 2012 8:44 pm

I was asked once by a southern based rag who'd had enough of my lifetime's devotion to City - "go on then choose: England win the world cup or city Win the FA cup."

Because that spastic knew fuck all about the subject he was shocked when I said the latter. It was a gut reaction and I still don't take it back. England winning the world cup would make me delighted but either the win over the clay heads last year or our at the death from the jaws of defeat result on 13/5 are still in the realms of semen stained under crackers and way beyond anything that could be called delighted.

So this brings me to my point. If Italy had lost to us and we had progressed for one more game to our eventual doom against the krauts would Italy have decided enough was enough and gone shopping for Bobbino?

I don't know mate but what i do know is that until England realises that we are not god's chosen football team we will never win fuck all at international level.Bobby apparently does'nt fit in with the Italian bigwigs or their rabid media for now at least so i think we are safe in that knowledge that he will be with us until he has had his fill of the prem.

I'd pick City to win the Johnstone's Paint Pot over England winning the world cup, i've not affinity with the national team, too much self interest from players playing for clubs i despise!

I think i'd hate England winning the world cup, too many johnny come lately's about to avoid ruining it! David Cameron somehow taking credit, everyone's sudden un-dying devotion to the brilliance of Scott Parker! I honestly can't wait til this generation of England team and fans are done, we're about to have a sudden decline, they've got the right manager, time to make do with some very average players (and Milner & Joe)
