Pantymellons

Apart from his fumble for the goal I was very impressed with his performance. In terms of development he reminded me of Joe Hart 2 seasons ago. Yes he will make the odd error but he did do some excellent things also. His reach is incredible. My only concern is his speed.

After Chelsea scored their second the scramble for getting the ball back was piss funny. It's like they really really wanted it but were too weak to prise it from Costel's hand.

Anyways, I hope he gets a few games this season. I like him.

Apart from his fumble he had very very little to do. But I think he is an ok deputy and getting better.

I'd been saying to the missus pre season he impressed me and I wouldnt be worried if Joe got injured. He's fecking immense and covers the goal and is now starting to take centres like he should given his size. Then of course he goes down , fumbles, and like the Knights of old can't get up and the welsh women come and stick knitting needles through his visor, lol.l

+1
I followed with attention his performances since our own PP advised us that he was wary on Panty's overall qualities.
I had been very much impressed by his assured and commanding performances throughout the whole preseason campaign of friendly, no matter the quality of opposition, I saw some excellent stops, saves and a very assured handling of set pieces situations.

If anything the Italian school of keepers' coaching has been renowned since long time and our own Battara is rated as the best of them.

Didn't really do anything to make me single him out for praise or even to upgrade my confidence in him if Joe ain't playing.

The mistake is what it is, I'm not wanting him hung for it, but if I'm being honest it was one of the few things he had to do and he fucked it up. He's not moved either way in my eyes, we still need Joe playing.

That save was reminiscent of Joe in Europe last season. I thought he was motm in the previous game, Wolfsburg I think. He's as good a backup as most, if not all teams have.

right, but the point is none of us know who does what on City goal. I suspect Panty was under upper orders when the fumble...

I thought he was having as a solid game till the goal. Sadly for him, they won’t be talking about how strong he looked at corners and how good his distribution is (better than Harts) if he is ever called upon in a big game. I hope he is mentally strong enough to put it behind him as from what I have seen he is a pretty decent keeper and a perfect number two.

Imo Panty has improved a lot already since joining us. These days I'm not too worried anymore if he will be between the sticks. even if he made an error in the charity shield.
Hope he plays all the games in domestic cups
then again, I'll probalby be the first man to change my tone if we do get to semifinals/finals. :)

I still think he looks awkward in lot of fairly basic situations.
Sometimes we're good and sometimes we're bad but when we're good, at least we're much better than we used to be and when we are bad we're just as bad as we always used to be, so that's got to be good hasn't it?

He's a trophy winning number two - and played his part in winning it.

His distribution for Silva late in the game was outstanding.

He's fine. About as good as we can probably get for a number 2 when Hart is unassailable as number 1.
