The lino made an honest mistake. Jones knew Newcastle were almost certain to score & there would be a furore, so deliberately prevented them from doing so. It is disgusting, obviously bent refereeing & made me feel sick to my stomach watching it.
This should cause the biggest stink in Premier League history. It's totally unacceptable. Bollocks to the 'was it over the line' debate. That happens several times a year. Here we have seen a 100% nailed on example of a ref cheating in order to get his team of officials off the hook. It is fucking shameful. He could see the whole situation from his position, there is no excuse. He cheated.
He should never be allowed to ref another game; end of story.

He realised it was probably over but couldn't be sure, so gave nothing, then shat himself at the possible outcry if Newcastle scored from the breakaway, so cheated to save his & his lino's arses.
The worst thing is; he will get away with it because most people think the story is the goal line incident rather than the corruption which followed.

it was so obvious why he stopped play, yet not one person on sky last night or this mornings radio have said the same, mind boggles.

Gary Neville said he thinks the ref realised something was wrong and pulled it back.
