Yes Lescott and Vincent have been a bit shaky to say the least but you cant go ripping up a proven plan.

Agree. Real themselves have had a very shakey start. They have 4 points from a possible 12 and have scored 4 leass goals than us. They are 14th in La Liga, have a "sad" star and a manager questioning their attitude.
We have "absolutely nothing to fear". You can quote me :)

Just in case.

it's the "occassionally" that bothers me.
Never criticise a man until you've walked a mile in his shoes.
That way when you do criticise him you'll be a mile away.
And you'll have his shoes.

When it comes to direct free kicks, Kolarov only takes the ones on the right or centre, due to being left footed, so others must get chances to score. Wasn't Tevez the last to succeed, two season's ago ? Balotelli could do it better than Kolarov imo but should be spending hours every day perfecting it rather than playing space Invaders or buying gold plated fondue sets. The only difference between Ronaldo & Mario at free kicks is practice.

I'm not Kolarov's biggest fan but since he joined City, I don't think I've seen many better free kick takers anywhere.

Most top teams have 3 or 4 players who are capable of scoring regularly from free kicks though. We need to address that, either by forcing some to practice it (a lot) or by signing some players who can already do it.

didn't think of that.
Although he did fight Mario over one on the left against the Mackem if you remember. He can't have read the script

Tbf, he's probably still more likely to score on his 'wrong' side, than most of our players on their right side.

i think nasri, with practice, could become very good at free kicks. he's delivered some excellent corners and has a pretty powerful shot.

If Yaya had scored or Zabaleta then it might have been a different story - its as much about attack as it is defence
