Next 6 games

Here is the place to talk about all things city and football!

Next 6 games

Postby Luke11993 » Mon Sep 24, 2012 11:35 am

They were speaking on sky sports yesterday about our next 6 games being reasonable which last season we would have probably been going in to them pretty happy, but I get the feeling the next 6 games could show weather we are gonna fight for the title or settle for top 4. If we come out with 6 wins I firmly believe we're back on track or even unbeaten, and taking into account midweek games it will be tough, but every single player is gonna have to stand up and be counted, busy schedule coming up! Thoughts?

They are all winnable games and the city of this time last year would take maximum points. But struggling at home for wins and struggling away for draws won't do it.

The shit will change. It has to. Otherwise people will lose their jobs. So I'm just hopeful it changes way sooner than that.

But surely if we were to lose the next 6 games questions will be asked and Mancini will be odds on for the sack? If we lose one game no one says nothing, If we come through the next 6 games unbeaten more wins than draws we will be back on the road? My personal view anyway.

Might as well say the next 30 odd games what will happen if we are not in the top 2 or 3.

We've got West Brom and Spurs in the next 6 games. The could both be flying by the time we play them so assuming what would/will happen based on play now could and probably will change as could Fulham and Swansea be oin winning runs by the time we play them ... by all means speculate away, I just find it pointless, thats all, as things will change and not just for us. Right I've wasted too many words on this now.

Never criticise a man until you've walked a mile in his shoes.
That way when you do criticise him you'll be a mile away.
And you'll have his shoes.

Sacking Mancini or even talking about it, is a non starter. It's one thing to give him the criticism which imo he deserves for the early season form but another to start talking about removing him if we have a bad season. Let's not even bring that up; it's just shite.

If he fucks up this season, he'll get the next one right. That kind of thing happens in football. Keown said in 'City Square' that his Arsenal side NEVER succesfully defended their title.

What concerns me is not that we will go on a losing streak, I don't think there's any chance of that at all. I'm concerned we will drop points by not winning enough games, particularly away from home, which will lead to an unsurmountable gap building up.

The next Prem Lg game is a big one imo. We could work on a few things v Villa, with a view to that game, rather than just resting everybody.

It's 4 points, and we play all the top teams twice. We will be okay.

We will be ok if we get on track now. If we drop anymore points the gap becomes that of last season, which is unlikely to sway again.

Just had a glance over the coming fixtures and we do have a nice run of games between now and mid november. We have a real opportunity to get ourselves back in our stride and really push on.

Our two champions league games are at home which is a huge boost, travelling away in europe always tend to take its toll on our following league games. In a ll competitions we have 7 home games and 4 away between now and Real Madrid on the 21st Novemeber.Really hope we can build towards that game and be back on top form going into it.
