So have we got it out of our system that our captain and not Dzeko was to blame?

It has to be Vinnie but I would ask why he was carrying the ball out rather than passing to a team mate in the first place? Was it that WBA were closing all the options down so he was "forced " to do it or just wellie it hopefully or was it that our midfield options were not showing as they should have been?

Either way Vinnie should know better and do a Lescott and just boot it somewhere when he gets into such a bad situation.

Interesting thoughts Doug and it was noticeable that whilst Vinnie was caught in their half, Milner was actually covering in ours.

There is a danger we will become a long ball team if we just "boot it". Hart does this and we lose possession a lot.
I would be happier if we had more players who were comfortable on the ball and worked the short passes to retain possession.
Obviously it was a mistake to lose the ball but let's not over react. VK is our proud captain and a world class footballer.
Lets get behind him and let him know we love him. Stop the witch hunt!

Just watched it again and Barry gave Vinnie the ball and moved away behind him probably expecting the ball if nothing showed in front.Nothing did show but Vinnie trusted himself and got caught out. No witch hunt just thinking about why it went wrong. Vinnie will be back to his best soon I am sure.

Sorry Doug I wasnt accusing you of being on a "witch hunt" it's just personally i dont like the "blame culture". Accidents happen players make mistakes. I dont think going over an accidental mistake helps the players' self confidence. I am not a big fan of this "vote who's to blame thread"! VK needs our support.

Vinnies playing purely on past performances and not on current form. He is very lucky to be in the starting 11.
We all support him but he is not exempt from being slagged off when he plays shite ,both him and that cunt Lescott get credit when they play well but up to now they both are lucky to even start in the first 11 after the diss they have dished up to now.
THEY SAY SWEARING IS DUE TO A LIMITED VOCABULARY. I KNOW THOUSANDS OF WORDS, BUT I STILL PREFER "FUCK OFF" TO "GO AWAY"

It seems to be an instruction from Bob for this season - Micah did it a couple of times when he was standing in for Vinnie in central defence. I presume it is to surprise the opposition every now and then and get an extra body in on the attacks.
