Reasonably pleased esp without Silva.

Mario looked like he would make things happen for most of the time he was on the pitch. Had a quiet 10 minute spell but otherwise looked good.

I was happy with the team overall apart from their unwillingness to win every header especially in their box... Found that apart from balotelli's header we almost waiting for them to head it and open it lands nicely ... Poulsen should have walked tho imo

But far from our best game of the season.
we missed badly our strong midfield, from where we started bossing every flamboyant game we played, Injury emergency there, Garcia just on minimum requirement to be given the starting nod and my beloved GazBaz well below his standard.
One flank only worked and I continue to puzzle myself on where has been lost the Gael of last season.
Strikers skidding and shy on shooting didn't help either.

performance wise I do consider this a set back from the latest.
but, once reassured on commitment to our colours, They will soon strike back steadily.
Imo best performance so far has been WBA, pretty uncontestedly.

As said already, I am convinced that the boys overall still suffer/perceive the rarefied atmosphere of the Chumps as if the were playing up top on a Nepal ground.
Think we will see progressive and steady improvements on domestic games. on saturday I very much enjoyed glimpses of a very good Vinnie, for an instance.

Overall, time to test Mancini's men management if ever was one. This bent pain might be used to spur the boys and it should: that's the only thing where Maureen is best in the world, btw.

I'm worried about Barry, much as he does the business his first touch seems to be getting worse & I presume Rodwell / Garcia are meant to be the future, but neither are quite there yet - but I wouldn't write them off - mind he hasn't got a right foot has he

We have spirit . Lets see how far that gets us with Madrid, if we vacate our duties taking charge allowing the midfield like we did last night to settle in and have a stroll for 20 mins, It is stating the obvious with the movement of Madrid we could be a lot worse than 0-2. We have screwed this campaign with shite tactics, blown a get out card last night, We have had no luck tbh, just like last year we could be left with the League come Jan which was all good in the end. Dortmund have 4 points from Madrid and could go out we are muppets.

Forget about Madrid and Dortmund it's all over now. Concentrate on the league now, show that spirit at the weekend and defend with some savvy. A very important period coming up.
