Oh how the times change.
Sometimes we're good and sometimes we're bad but when we're good, at least we're much better than we used to be and when we are bad we're just as bad as we always used to be, so that's got to be good hasn't it?

If you disregard whatever bile the Mirror's "footballing journalists" (and I use the term in the loosest sense) pour out about City and read the daily column that Derek McGovern, the betting tipster, writes, you'll have a few chuckles.

I think he must frequent this and other City fan sites because scarcely a day goes by without him making comical references to all the help from referees that Fergiescum gets, together with the phenomena known as 'Fergietime'.

He also regularly refers to Fergiescum as "Slur Alex", "Whisky Purple Nose" and "Bacon Face" so, as I say, he must have been on some City fan sites to pick up such expressions and his column is the best part of the sporting section of the paper, by far.

Skinny jeans as well. He's a real hipster is Andy.

I used to love Andy Capp when I was a kid. Thinking back I probably didn't understand at all what it was about - it's quite grown up stuff. But never the less - I loved him.
