If you do leave early dont ring your local radio station to complain about the result......if you don't know the score!

but if it was 2-1 on the final day of the season with the title on the line, then I can't understand. And there were people on here who admitted they left early.

Because I was that pissed because I was the most nervous I've ever been supporting City and drinking since 10am I couldn't even think straight. Pretty much all the people I walked out with were the same.
I climbed back in though so I don't care.

being pissed isn't an excuse for being a bellend. Either be able to handle your nerves and the possibility of defeat properly or don't go to the game.

One of the most embarrassing things about seeing City on TV (especially in a pub surrounded by fans of other teams) is having the stadium 1/2 empty during the last 10 minutes no matter what the occasion is. Makes our fans look like shite in from of the world every week.
You schedule out 2 hours from your day, pay £20, and stand in the abysmal weather for 1.5 hours. why can't you wait another 30 minutes (10 for the game and 20 for increased "traffic")? What better do you have happening on a weekend afternoon that can't wait for 1/2 hour?
As a side note, when I was living in Manchester; I would stay to the end of every game and never once experienced a delay in getting back. Maybe this was because I was taking the bus back to the city center but still. Even if you just stay in your seat for 15 minutes after the final whistle and watch the stadium empty out, you will miss most of the traffic while being able to take in the sights and sounds of a glorious football stadium. Surely that is better than rushing off to be in some grungy pub or poorly lit living room for an extra 1/4 hour.
