Look on the bright side ?we wont have to listen to that whinging cunt Franz Beckanbaur moaning about City and PSG.surely the hypocrite will keep quiet now after spunking £35 000 000 on a player.

Also the set up a PSG is a bit to fucking cosy with Platiini Son on the payroll, they are spending money like it is going out of fashion. Will be interesting to see if they ever get sanctioned by his dad at UEFA.

Not really. Gotze had an outstanding game and to think he is still only 21. He can and will improve even further and will be one of the world's best in a few years, much better than that overhyped Brazilian twat Neymar

They'll just buy Lewandowski on top of it, unfortunately. And Sebastian Rode (this summer or next). And maybe they will bring back Hummels down the line, too. They are doing their homework, no doubt.

Anyone remember the QF in 2009? Bayern, managed by the charlatan Klinsmann, were thrashed 0-4 in spectacular fashion by Barca in the first leg.

This was their line-up that day:

Butt - Oddo, Demichelis, Breno, Lell - Altintop (46. Ottl), van Bommel, Zé Roberto (77. Sosa) - Schweinsteiger, Ribéry - Toni

Apart from Lahm, Badstuber (who were on the bench), Schweinsteiger & Ribéry that's a complete overhaul in 4 years. Impressive.

Bayern bought Martinez for 40 million or so last summer - no one saw the irony.

We've known about Platini's son on this board ( mcf.net) since he first took office. The irony of all this ffp crap is not lost on us.

Spanish athletes being doped, Bundesliga referree bribes.... All have been discussed openly on this board . Anything new you want to add?

Beckenbauer hasn't complained at all about City. You might be confusing him with that well known 'Arschenkriecher' Karl Heinz Rummenigge.

The Kaiser isn't dumb , he keeps his mouth shut , usually only opening it to compliment something or someone, even if it's a lie.

Hummels and Bayern have a bad relation. Doubt he would ever join Bayern.

Nothing that loadsa €€€ & the opportunity to challenge on several fronts under the Messiah Pep of Nazareth himself can't fix. Everybody expected Gotze to go to either Spain or England & look how that panned out.

I dont think Lewandowski would be a massive success here(in england), im going out on a limb saying that.

Id take Reus over both him and Goetze.

Also worth noting Sahin and Kagawa have been there two best players past two seasons they have hardly set world alight since leaving.
derby day the scores were level,
then the goat was fed by neville,
silly boy should know for sure,
feed the goat and he will score!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My rag mates think kagawa is class. I've seen flashes. That's about it.

Seems like a profoundly British mindset. Picking the more direct player & not the exceptional floating Silva-type or the target man with the best touch in Europe who just scored 4 goals v Madrid in a CL semi. But he's nowhere near the level of RVP of course (who... did fuck all v Madrid & even less at the Euros), what with wet nights at Stoke & all, right?
Don't get me wrong, Reus is a very talented player & I wouldn't mind having a player of his ilk or him specifically at City, but Gotze is... special.

You may be onto something with your last bit tho. Klopp seems to be able to get the best out of his players. Cogs in a panzer if you will.

Mourinho says before tonights match

"They have to feel frustration to lose Mario Gotze to their rivals. They build players and their rival, because he is powerful economically, arrives and buys them. It's the easiest way to win the title - to destroy your opponents."

Buy them .... aha , that's what United and Bayern
have been doing all these years ! I'd never have guessed

Mourinho being hypocritical? A manager being hypocritical? Well, I never! Real Madrid never buys players of other teams!

This

Gotze is an amazing talent. Lewandowski had a good game, but against us he was woeful. Remember all those saves Joe Hart had to make? Almost all of them from Gotze. He had a brilliant game. Too bad for him and good for us that Joe Hart had a better game.

And Neymar is the most overhyped player today. Curious who's going to buy him, or if he's going to be stuck in the Brazilian league forever.

Lewandaski reminds me of dzeko for some reason i just dont like big target men which is probably the opposite of a british mindset!

The reason i take Reus over goetze is for the exact reason you mention! He is in the Silva type and we already have Silva and nasri while we have no width and thats why Reus would be better for us.

Simple logic really nothing to do with "profoundly British mindset" but i bow down to your superior knowledge....

Just so we are clear as you havent gone on to explain yourself, you think i have a profoundly british mindset because i rather a player we need rather than a player similar to the one we already have. Explain in your non profound british mindset why Goetze would be better for us (in theory of course as he is gone to bayern) just curious?

Well, would you rather we buy Walcott or Wilshere? A player we supposedly 'need' or a superior, more talented player we may not desperately need, but who would still improve the first team? Therein lies your answer.
