Moyes confirmed on a 6 year deal. Will Shrek really want to play for someone he's had legal action with?

Ours had lots before he joined and he is utterly useless in the CL.

Moyes did all the Celtic CL games in the stadium for STV. I thought at the time it was strange that a Premiership manager was taking time out of his hectic schedule to cover games for a regional TV channel with a tiny budget in places like Russia and Portugal. He was obviously trying to get a feel for these sort of games.

I happen to think he will do a pretty decent job there and if they sell Rooney and Giggs and Scholes decided to retire it will buy him time in a rebuilding phase. No one can expect him to carry on exactly where Ferguson has left off.

Regardless of the result on Saturday, we would be utterly mad to make a managerial change in the summer. With Chelsea and United swapping managers next year is the perfect year for continuity. It will take a while for Moyes and his new players to bed in, we have to hit the ground running next season. Zero exuses.

I can think of once they didn't.

I think that internally they like to think of themseleves as a "family" club, whatever that means. I can't see Moyes making wholesale changes to the way they operate. Whether the Van Persie's of this world will want to play for Moyes though is another matter.

If they can stay strong domestically, then a couple of years treading water in the CL might not cause a problem. But, with us, Chelsea and maybe even Arsenal, Spuds and Liverpool, improving rhat could be a damn big if.

I think it's unfair to compare Moyes with Sparky, for Moyes that is. I'm a bit baffled by the decision, especially the long contract length, but Sparky... He's better than that.

What it all amounts to is they're SKINT !
Moyes is a recognised shoestring manager, PLUS he's out of contract, so no buy-out compensation.Maureen would demand 100M kitty
and twice the salary Moyes is on.They've bought the title this year with Persil , but there's nowt left in the piggy bank.. . .

I hope the twats at Arse, Spuds and Pool improve next season so they can potentially put the rags out of the top 4. That would be great!
