Malaga's defence was lauded last year as being fantastic
By who? They conceded 50 goals.
We had a pretty dodgy season at the back with injuries and that awesome 3-5-2 experiment and still only conceded 34.
So I think we have a stronger base to allow the forwards to go about their business and not have to worry about helping out too much at the back. Which should speed us up a lot. My only real issue with Mancini was the time it took us to get forward, always allowing teams to get behind the ball while we go sideways.
