Or are they OK for you when you're unhealthy and your GP is prescribing them to you for your muscle wastage disease or to help you with your aids? But if a healthy person takes them suddenly they're bad?

I suggest you watch that documentary that Ross was saying about further up. There are unbiased DOCTORS on there who tell the truth.

Whats your fucking point? You can get prescribed morphine so it's ok to go around taking opiates for the hell of it then? Try asking your GP for something help you out recreationally and see where you get. It's not illegal to take them because it's illegal to to supply them without a prescription. And because it is unlicenced there's no guarantee you will get what's printed on the label. So good luck with the Russian Roulette - or are you going to tell me you're also an expert on chemical analysis because you've popped a few smarties or stuck some random shite in your veins?

Dameerto,

I have just noticed that the report from the French Senate has now been published. I have not read it in full, but have read a report on it.
It names 30 riders in total, 18 who tested positive for EPO and a further 12 who they said were suspicious.

POSITIVE
Andrea Tafi, Erik Zabel, Bo Hamburger (twice), Laurent Jalabert, Marcos Serrano, Jens Heppner, Jeroen Blijlevens, Nicola Minali, Mario Cipollini, Fabio Sacchi, Eddy Mazzoleni, Jacky Durand, Abraham Olano, Laurent Desbiens, Marco Pantani, Manuel Beltran, Jan Ullrich (twice), Kevin Livingston (twice)

SUSPICIOUS
Ermanno Brignoli, Alain Turicchia, Pascal Chanteur, Frederic Moncassin, Bobby Julich, Roland Meier, Giuseppe Calcaterra, Stefano Zanini, Eddy Mazzoleni, Stephane Barthe, Stuart O'Grady, Axel Merckx.
I KNOW THAT YOU BELIEVE THAT YOU UNDERSTOOD WHAT YOU THINK I WROTE, BUT I AM NOT SURE YOU REALISE THAT WHAT YOU READ IS NOT WHAT I MEANT

It seems that the suspicious ones have probably doped as well - Stuart O'Grady for one has admitted having EPO in '98 - what I find frustrating is that whilst cycling tries to cleanse itself of its cheats (past & present) that the rest hide behind judge's rulings and Ostrich like responses - honesty it seems is in short supply at the moment

Yeah, it got a mention on the BBC News 24 channel overnight.

I've been on Reddit, but not seen that. I got distracted by the photos in other areas. Coincidentally, I've not got a massive right arm without the need of any steroids.

Gonewild and it's spinoffs are definitely worth a "read"

Doping seems to have been going on for decades (and probably as long as sport has been around):

I notice Barca announced the other day that Neymar has anemia - which is a low red blood cell count - if I was a sceptic I'd say it was a cover story for pumping him full of EPO or something similar to get him through the preseason.

There were some interesting comments the other day from Dick Pound, the former head of WADA, who said he didn't believe anything he saw in sport any more. He considered doping was rife across the board in many sports.
