Haven't listened to it yet, but the talkshite headline that he reveals citys targets would have been Cavani and Falcao really just confirm another reason why Mancini probably got the bullet.
He seems to have had absolutely zero ability to look beyond the obvious when it comes to signings, and as an owner surely you would have got pissed off keep asking to shell out top dollar on players in their prime, rather than actually spotting these players before they hit that level. Then he throws his toys out of the pram when we dont get them.
Only real exception to all the above was nastasic who could turn out to be a belter, and clichy who we got good value for, but everyone else, anybody on this board could have signed and cobbled a world class team together without a scouting team in sight.
It makes me all the more happy we changed managers when we did

Would ya smash it though?

Wasn't he talking about Louise Redknapp when he said that?
Oh yeah Dick, like there's a decision to be made here.

As you say, you didn't listen to it.
Dont believe the talkshite headline - they were the two targets but Cavani would have been the main target, and after all he did say it's typical shite that they quote just that to wind it up - however he admitted that he doesn't anticipate that we'd have matched the clause anyway. Said the league will be determined by the key players and if Aguero keeps fit and hit his best form he could be the key to winning the league again.
Like Ted says, not his biggest fan, but really did come across respectful to the club, to the fans and about how things turned out.
Listened to the whole thing while driving home from daaaaan sarrrff last night, so hopefully they haven't edited in the usual talk shite way - and even though Key's was desperately digging for a 'slag City off' headline he never got it.

If I remember correctly, they were talking about 'another Louise', an ex of Redknapp's before he met Nurding.
The best thing about that video was Graeme Souness' palpable discomfort as Keys made a twat of himself.

I seem to recall they left of their own volition because they weren't needed to scout the type of transfers Mancini was looking to bring in, and what talent they were finding was being ignored by Mancini in favour of the superstars only policy he had.
I believe that information is all in the public domain.

And I'm sure if the club wanted them to stick around they wouldn't have allowed them to leave for Liverpool without putting up a fight.
Perhaps it was Marwood or even Soriano more recently that didn't rate the scouts so didn't stand in their way of leaving? We don't know for sure but hey let's just blame it on Mancini.

Since you no longer have my posts to change, add meaning to or practise your mind reading with, I note your new strategy.
"I don't know much about cycling"...then a long post giving your opinion.
"I haven't listened to it"...then another long post giving your opinion.
I love an informed opinion.
BTW,Napoleon no longer rules half of Europe, Elvis is dead, Mancini has gone and his bank balance suitably adjusted, even Stan and Ollie no longer post about Marwood....and the rest of us are waiting with baited breath, full of hope and enthusiasm for a new and successful season.
