Mata

Here is the place to talk about all things city and football!

Mata

A bit late and absolutely no chance, but why don”t we have a go? Maureen is taking a piss with him and Torres.

Class player, maybe our missing key.

He is my favourite non city player in the premier league. As a football fan id hate to see him leave the premier league, as a city fan id love him to come here. But who would lose their place in the starting 11 for Mata? im sure he would be a nailed on starter but we would have to either sell someone or send them to the bench

If we could make this happen, I don't care what other transfers have gone on, this would be the best one of the season. He's not player of the season twice for Chelsea for no reason.

BUT, I can't see us signing him for many reasons.

I think we all rate him highly and expect Chelsea do as well, but what they are doing with him his ridiculous. The lad is quality and needs to play.

A line with Dave, Mata and Navas and Aguero instead of Dzeko could do.

I would push this transfer this season, make a big investment and next year bring almost nothing, to balance the books.

Don't think Dave and Mata in same team would be good. Would get in each other's way. If we got Mata imo it would be to challenge Silva for his place.

He's the one player in the league I would love to see us sign, fantastic football player. If he was for some daft reason allowed leave I would expect the club to pull out all the stops to get the deal done. However I don't think Mourinho would allow a player of his quality leave the club.

If we were to add a player it should be a Centre Half with two good feet.

I never really saw them at Valencia so if they played well there then fair play. But PL is a different matter. I can't see how we can accommodate Silva and Mata in the same 11. Navas offers us something different so he'd get in. Yaya and Fernandinho will both get in also and some games be accompanied by a 'holding midfielder'.
I also think Pellegrini likes playing with a big/target man which means one of Negredo or Dzeko will get in most games. Normally Aguero will play off one of them I'd imagine as I don't think Aguero plays his best as a lone striker. And that's not even mentioning Jovetic or Milner who both can come in and offer something different.

Bit of a pointless debate because we're not gonna sign him anyway but if we do I think it will be ahead of rather than alongside Silva.
Plus I still think SIlva's been living off his 2011 form for too long and hasn't come close to the level and consistency he showed then.

A class player but I also don't see how he will fit in. What's going on between him and Mourinho ?

Perhaps they are just letting the drugs leave his system.

Agree on that. No need to spend more elsewhere. If our plethora of options can't be molded into a fantastic attacking side then we are retarded.
