Exactly. Thought that myself. Only showed a couple of Saints attacks and as it turns out, all of rags. Thought perhaps they were unlucky. Then saw the stats & read a report, not on Sky or BBC which said Saints fully deserved a point & could have had 3 but for poor finishing fron Osvaldo.

That Poll they did on whether the Rags will make the Top 4 made me chuckle. 30-70 in favour of them not making the cut made me chuckle.

Even the normally obnoxious Alan Green who was at the swamp for the BBC was slagging the scum off, and saying Southampton deserved it. In fact he sounded like he does when we fuck up at home against Sunderland, Hull, & teams like that.

Like to see Villa get something from this game, if only to push the Rags back a place ;-)

Townsend just put a cross in which bamboozles everyone and then nestles in the far corner.

FFT bonus.

And the Spurs fans then throw a smoke bomb onto the pitch whch hits the lino. Wonder if they'll be getting some form of sanction for that?

Don't Spurs look awful? Strange line up for me from AVB but they are winning so can't be all bad.The test might come when Benteke comes on but maybe Spurs will have woken up and finished the game by then.

Everytime I've seen them they've looked awful mate. I think that's only their 7th goal of the season and they've let 5 in. Looks like AVB is trying to do a Maureen and stay safe rather than pushing on for goals.

Can't believe they are on the same points as us at the moment, 2 totally different approaches where they play turgid football where we look to bring a bit of entertainment to the game.

They have got a near new squad so it may start to click for them but looking at them in a CL perspective I'd say it's not going to happen this season.

Looks like Benteke's coming on and it may just give Villa something upfront. They've looked toothless so far.

Spurs have looked so uninspiring and boring this season. The games they've won they have won by 1-nil. I don't think it's avbs fault I think it's the players he has, this new striker they use all te time isn't exactly setting the world alight. Didn't they win two games from a penalty in each one? While it appears they don't need the monkey he at least offered them a better score line.

since signing him the only league match theyve won without him in the lineup was their 3-2 victory over us

agreed. and yeah, before his most recent goal im pretty sure all his league goals are from penalties. and i think every match but one that theyve won in the league has been 1-0.

The nil is a constant for spuds this yr. Barring the freak loss last week to West Ham they've barely conceded. Think AVB is doing what Mancini 1st did for us. Shore up defence & go from there. Winning 1-0 gets 3 points the same as 2 or 3.

Would anyone swap Hart for Lloris? Lloris to me looks a more all round keeper with better shot saving ability.

Well looks like Ian Holloway is set to quit after getting pasted by Fulham and their wonder goals

He's a loss for the Premier League, complete lunatic in press conferences and always worth a soundbite.

Feel for the guy. Punched well above weight to get promotion & realistically not expected to stay in top flight, so is it really a surprise to see them struggle? Who else is going to keep them up? So many clubs get rid of a manager when the replacement does no better and in a lot of cases even worse. Doubt Wolves would be in 3rd division if Mccarthy was still there. Palace could end up like that if not careful
