Nice bit of snubbing

With eight, not very carefully selected words, Manchester City striker John Guidetti has dashed any chance of a move to Anfield. In response to reported interest by Brendan Rodgers the 21-year- old tweeted; "I`m not going to Liverpool. Not that desperate."

The Liverpool manager, who slapped down a surly Raheem Sterling within hours of taking the reins at Anfield, is unlikely to change his spots and be encouraged to pursue the talented forward after such a public statement.

Already a full international Guidetti was signed by Sven Goran Erikkson but has struggled to break through at the Etihad with such a plethora of top strikers ahead of him in the City pecking order.

With several loan spells behind him, including a very successful one at Feyenoord last year in which he scored 20 times in 23 appearances, the Swede has also struggled with fitness. He endured a six month battle against a virus, as well as numerous injuries, which kept him out of action.

Being so far behind the likes of Aguero, Dzeko et al one would have thought a fresh challenge at Liverpool, where he would only have Suarez and Sturridge ahead of him, would have tempted the youngster who still has two years of a three year contract left at City. However he would seem to prefer reserve team football at City than a more likely tilt at the Premier League down the East Lance road.

Can't see the tweet on Guidetti's twitter account, has it been removed?

If he has said that, it's nothing other than disrespectful. He hasn't proved anything yet, less of the Billy big bollox stuff until he has.

Obviously a piss-take article. Doesn't even understand the 'East Lance' road.

Is he fit to play?

Wouldn't mind seeing him get a run out in the league cup. It's about time we gave him a shot or fuck him off.

Would love it if players came out with lines like that. Doyle for example would never have signed for rags even for all the money in the world and would have said so. How Owen who was an Everton fanatic as a lad could plsy for Liverpool is beyond me. If i was lucky enough to have the talent to be a professional footballer there is no way in the world i would have played for the rags or dippers. Just couldnt do it.

Micah Richards reveals he wants to spend the next TEN years at Manchester City

Micah Richards wants to commit his long-term future to Manchester City.

The England full-back, 25, plans to spend the next decade at the Etihad, despite interest from Newcastle, Roma and Inter Milan.

Richards, who has less than two years remaining on his current deal, told The Sun: "I'm not leaving City.

"It's my club and I love it here.

"Ten more years — that's my aim.

"I am back fit now and believe when I'm fit I am as good as anyone in the division playing that role."
