I can't say for sure that Real wouldn't turn his head, but all this shit about Bayern turning his head is horseshit IMO.

When was the last time one of the top five and most sought after players in world football moved to Bayern Munich from another top side in Spain or England?

He's definitely taken the mantle from Tevez as the best striker we've ever had IMO.

Our attack looks scary good, sadly the same cannot be said for our defence.

just analysing this.....All these players have come via the Spanish league and last years player of the year Zabs too........We know where to focus in January's window eh???

Says here that the club have put a value of 70M, before they will even talk about it

http://www.sportsdirectnews.com/premier ... aguero.php

Manchester City have slapped a £70 million price tag on star striker Sergio Aguero to ward-off continued interest from Real Madrid.

The Argentinian international is currently the hottest striker in Europe, having scored 13 goals in his last 13 outings.

Aguero's brace against CSKA Moscow on Tuesday night also took his tally in this season's Champions League to five goals, with two group games still remaining.

The 25-year-old penned a new deal in the summer until 2017, which made him one of the highest-paid players at the Etihad Stadium on £180,000 a week.

City, however, are well aware of the contrived leaks out of Madrid that Aguero tops their summer transfer list.

And the Citizens believe his signature would be in even more demand if his goals also help Argentina lift the World Cup in Brazil next summer.

The blues paid a club-record £38m to acquire the striker from Atletico Madrid, two seasons ago and certainly don't need the money.

Aguero is already a club hero having scored the injury-time goal which memorably sealed City's first title win in 44 years back in 2012.

If the player was eventually tempted by a return to Spain, City would not even entertain a bid unless is was in the same ballpark as Gareth Bale's recent world record £80m figure.

I wouldn't have put Robben near the top five in the world when Madrid were flogging him. Certainly not Martinez and Gotze was already playing Germany.

I just don't think the attraction is there for the very best players in the world to move to from another top league.

Ahem..

Manchester City striker Sergio Aguero's current run of form has been attributed to a new training regime implemented by the club - and it has also been revealed that the pint-sized forward is playing and training without pain for the first time in almost a year.

The 25-year-old, whose famous goal clinched the Premier League title in May 2012, has since suffered a string of injuries which have kept him out of action for weeks at a time.

A combination of making the Champions League a priority and Aguero's dubious fitness record saw him used sparingly in the opening weeks of the campaign.

But a change of emphasis in training and an improvement in his condition has led to renewed optimism at the Etihad Stadium.

A club source said: "The coaches felt that Sergio was approaching some training sessions somewhat gingerly, almost certainly because of his injury problems.

"He wasn't training at full-pelt but over the last few weeks he has been encouraged to step up his intensity in the sessions and it is fair to say that it is paying off.

"The fear factor has diminished significantly and he now trains in the same way he plays. It is early days, but it is the first time in ages that he has been able to give everything and not suffer a lot of pain in the aftermath.

"His fitness record dictates that there must still be an element of treating him with kid gloves, so he is unlikely to feature in League Cup fixtures, but it is encouraging that the new system is reaping the rewards."

I think it goes back further than that, back even to his first season. Anyone with vids of old games, have a look at Aguero walking off the pitch at half/full time, even in a shot that just shows his head & shoulders you can quite often see an inbalance in the way he is moving, like he is uncomfortable on one side. Imo, he is two yards quicker right now than in some games he has played & he is chasing the ball much harder. He & Silva (& Barry) have regularly been playing whilst injured imo.

The way he's playing I could see him ending up with 30+ league goals. I haven't even thought about cups yet.

23 league goals in his 1st season. Its well within his capabilities to get 30 in the league this year.

He was fit at the start of the 2011 season, but got an injury around Xmas when Tevez was golfing which reduced him a bit. Last season, he rarely looked fit. So far this season he looks exceptionally fit and sharp and if he can stay like that who knows.

His partnership with the beast will only get better as well - on Tuesday they both made the same run in the second half and the ball went to the other post. They were talking about it afterwards and you can see that improving. Additionally, they pass to each other, so as a pair they could be (more) deadly

Has the capability and the team to get 35+ Prem goals imo. We will continue to dominate teams and create chances galore. If he stays injury free its a very real target. Throw in cup comps & 45+ is a possiblity.
Throw in Negredo to equation and we could have a partnership of 60/70 goals. Unreal. Most teams wont score that. We will score over 100 this season. I have no doubt about that. Would that be 3 years worth under Pearce?
