Totally agree, the Mrs explained how few ballerina's pull or damage muscles in comparison to footballers and how much longer and how much more rigorously their muscles are used for. Yeah but ballerinas don't run 12 km during a 90 min. performance do they ? Sprints jogging, stop and go .ballet dancers have it easy. Sure they move around a stage but the stage isn't 100 m by 70m .

No many players do either, Ballerina's rarely get periods where they can stroll, rest or walk, they can be performing an using their muscles for up to 3 hours with the same break as a footballer. Muscles are muscles, if you don't look after them properly then they won't look after you.

Having lived with a Ballerina I understand how strenuous it actually is,

Romario used to have sex 90 minutes before every game because he thought it relaxed him and made him play better. And he had a pretty good career... get on it WAGs

there have been some studies that suggest testosterone levels are at their peak about 1hr30 - 2hrs after you've had a go ... could be with a partner or by yourself, but your body ramps up testosterone afterwards! So seems like he was on to something

no doubt it is a very strenuous activity ... but physical contact and stop/start actions and lots of quick actions that can go beyond normal range of motion make it very easy to understand injury frequency for footballers. It's not like they're running on a track for 90 minutes.

Kinky, you're digging yourself a big hole here mate. Have you not seen how flexible ballet artists are?

It's well worth looking into.

We're not seriously comparing Dzeko's typical 90 minutes to the effort that goes into dancing a ballet are we ?

The contact may be similar, but not much else.
