Surprised not to hear anywhere yet that the incident will be reviewed . Jedinaks clip with his boots looked deliberate. He didn't need to raise his foot.

Having seen a closeup of his injury now - and hearing it required 6 stitches after the game - I didn't give him enough credit for playing on and giving such a good performance in those circumstances.

It was right in front of us and I haven't seen a replay yet so I'm not sure what he hit, bit you could hear the knock from the back of the lower tier. It was a very brave save to make and considering the saves he made in the second half, he deserves a lot of credit.

I see Hart is being debated in the other threads. Having seen Pantilimon close up now I have to say I think Hart is the better option. But he was questioned yesterday and flapped at something last week which went right over him.

I dont think the club will move yet, but isn't the giant's contract up this year?

I'm sure they will look to bring in an upgrade in the summer to give a better standard of 'competition'!.

If they do bring in a new keeper - which I hope they dont - I pray its not some 30+ year old who we get about 2 years out of presenting with a problem in 2 years finding another new keeper. You run the risk of buying a pile of shit. Stick with Joe. I think they will.

He should have come for the corner but I blame Demi more for that. He did make some great saved at 2-1 though which kept us ahead, if it had gone to 2-2 we would have been a lot more nervous. Anything but a perfect game and he is now jumped on, very unfair!

Well she would have been a distraction if she was on the pitch!

From the match thread, a slight comparison of the top teams' goalies.

It's a very... rough... estimate but this is what I got.... THis says nothing about the types of chances these goalies are faced with and so forth.

For some comparison, here are some other goalies

Begovic: 1.24 goals per game, 1.90 saves per goal and 2.35 per game

Krul: 1.27 goals per game, 1.92 saves per goal and 2.27 saves per game

Mannone 1.08 goals per game, 4.00 saves per goal and 3.69 saves per game

Speroni: 1.41 goals per game, 1.47 saves per goal and 2 saves per game

"In my career so far it's the most important goal. You score the goal in the last minute to win the title. You're not sure if that's ever going to happen in your career again. I wish I could tell you how I did it but I can't. I thought for all the world that Mario was going to have a go himself but he just moved it on one more and it fell at my feet and I just thought: 'Hit the target, hit it as hard as you can and hit the target.' And it went in."
