Well judging by his comments, he doesn't want to go, so unless we are signing another player I very much doubt he will be going anywhere til summer.

Dont think he wants to go but knows he has to go to get football. Not easy going from a team at the top to a team at the bottom.

If it's upto him, I don't think he'll go now or next season. But it's not.

Imo we should sign a new cb, offer Lescott a new deal for 1 or 2 years, & if it turns out he's not getting games, offer him the chance to leave. For the sake of cutting his wages off the bill, it's not worth losing him.

He is well worth the money we pay him. If we find we truly don't need him, then let him go. But withthe injury record of VK, & the dodginess of Nastasic, even if we do sign a new cb, we may find we are glad to have JL at the club for another season at least.

He has the same mindset as Barry had , they want first team football (understandable at their age) and he will not get that at City so its more him that's forcing the issue for us to replace him and not us , imo.

I get the same impression. But you have to ask yourself why a player would want to leave a club when that club is fighting to win 4 trophies and already in one final. He needs his bumps felt (if true).

He's still got a chance of making the World Cup squad. And how would a winner's medal feel if you'd played no games in the competition?

I hope he stays, but I'll always understand a player leaving to play at any level. Much prefer that to the Wayne Bridge approach.

Or the Danny Mills approach, at least Bridge went out on loan.

I am seriously beginning to doubt that. Who knows what kind of contracts we were handing out under Hughes, regarding bonuses & the like. Letting go of Barry & now trying to phase out Lescott, the way in which we lost de Jong, Adebayor & Bellamy. You could make a case for some of them individually, but on the whole? It's a lot of first teamers getting shifted for the sake of it. Smells like obscene contracts to me.

Wasn't the case last year, Nasti has gone backward. Truth is neither is good enough now so we need a new posh one and get rekik back from Holland next season. Didn't PSV make him captain or something?

Rekik is nowhere near as good as Nastasic.

And Nastasic was exactly the same last season, it's just that people refused to recognise it. He was rewarded for an impersonation of Darren Wassell, v Villa in the cup, by getting the shirt for City in Madrid, & he got turned inside out there & by every player who ran at him or jumped for a header with him, pretty much all season.
