ITV And Their Hatred Of City

Here is the place to talk about all things city and football!

The fact not one of our group games was on speaks louder than words. Was probably only a game of rock paper scissors that got us the game over PSG!

What, the fact that the incident actually has to place in the box?

Just watched it. As always Keane is a miserable git who likes to make definitive statements without any real evidence.
In defence of ITV though I think Andy Townsend talks a lot of sense, both in terms of his tactical views and reviews of specific incidents.
I thought Martinez was intelligent and insightful in his approach.
And for the fun of it I like it when Lee Dixon disagrees with Keane. Maybe one day it'll end in a full blown row but Dixon will often put a good counter argument in that has old misery guts getting redder and grumpier.

How do they compare versus Sky or BT?

Summariser: I'd take Townsend over Owen or Quinn any day
Commentator: Probably Tyldesley, though I can't even remember who BTs commentator is, so maybe it should be him due to that fact.
Analysts: Dixon, Martinez and Neville

Nah the current rules are that it can happen just outside the box and if momentum takes them into the box the ref can give a pen if he see it fit to. A bollox rule imo but the current rule nevertheless

So has anyone actually written into ITV to complain?

If you really think it's that bad then why not complain to ITV directly?

Because they can't be arsed Aaron, 99.9% of the time it's just a case of coming on here for a good old moan.

The other 0.01% of the time it's Doug's training reports and they're worth a read!
If we had De Gea and the rags had Hart, we'd be top with a 9 point lead and they'd be in 12th place - that's the difference between a 'good' keeper and a 'top class' keeper - 12 places - think about it.

Why contact ITV et al when we can come on here to have a collective. What surprises me is that some would come on a thread where they know there would be complaints and then complain about those complaints.

Such is life I suppose.

I haven't complained about the complaints.

I'm just asking if someone has written into complain. Many people on here are bothered by the ITV analysis, but complaining on here won't change anything. However, a complaint to ITV could have an impact. It may not, but until people try then things are unlikely to change.

It doesn't work like that for TV companies I'm afraid. You send your complaint and they put it in the viewers log for the team responsible to have a read. When they see complaints from City fans they must just chuckle to themselves knowing that they are catering for the 600 trillion Rags and associated company.

That's the beauty of this forum, you can come on and complain away knowing that at least somebody will share your opinions, and if not, at least have a further moan about them that don't share it.

The BBC periodically receives a shit-load of complaints from Blues for one or other particularly egregious piece of bile and everyone get a letter back with the same stock, platitudinous answer.

My regular e-mails to:

u2us@skysports.com

have at times had an effect, where small things are concerned. Pretty sure someone reads them and, when I give them the low-down on Tyler, it may well work. In fact the last performance he gave that I heard he did NOT mention 'Manchester United'.

Hoping that my efforts and others have some small effect.

So you've complained to ITV and that's what happened? Or you haven't complained and you're guessing what would happen?

Have you written to the club to voice your concerns? The club has taken action against media outlets they've had issues with before, such as the reporters who went way overboard with their views on us on Sunday Supplement.

What I'm getting at is that people on here endlessly complain but don't want to do anything about it. If it is so much of an issue for you, why don't you try and do something about it?

I don't think you're listening mate and getting a little prickly about it. I don't give a fuck about writing to them as I can come on here and have a rant instead.

FYI, I have e-mailed all 3 of the major players at some point, even reporting the fact that I didn't receive a response from when I put a complaint in about Sky coverage. Each time I got the stock reply of 'This will be logged in the customer views section', or words to that effect. As for the club, they don't need me clogging up the lines, Vicky Kloss has got far more pressing business.

As I said mate, when your catering for the populus, why the fuck would they care what the little piss-ant says?
