Just got back more than 4000 there.
A farce as we missed the first 20 mins while they checked how many were already in the ground, before letting anymore in!
From what I saw we were totally dominant first half and could've been well infront had it not been for their keeper.
After the break I thought we were too negative until they equalised, but when we did go forward their keeper was in inspired form.
Hit the post, hit the bar as well but were ultimately undone by a counter attack!
Good game and some good individual performances.
Fofana looks excellent!
I like Glendon (if he was number 6) too.

Hard to say anyone had a bad game tonight but we lost! I agree Glendon looked good but on reflection all his good work was while Benfica were happy to sit back and wait.Once they upped their game a bit in the 2nd half he didn't have quite the same influence and just didn't do enough creatively.

That was a farce getting in.I was there early but still had to join a 50 yard queue who were all given tickets ( it was free entry for everyone) which then had to be torn in 2 so they could keep half.It was a slow process.I have no idea what the ground capacity is but I wouldn't have thought it got close on the night. If it did I am still surprised as there seemed to be loads of room.

You're right. We were stood in what I would call the south stand, and there was acres of space in the first half, a few more people came down to that end when we were attacking that end in the 2nd half, but even then there was loads of room.

Good Atmosphere tonight, but there were plenty of kids there who looked completely uninterested in the game and were more interested in kicking shit out of the stands and advertising hoardings to make some noise. Thats what happens when its free though
"If we fire our manager after just one bad season - We'll become Chelsea"
"If we think we can fix the problem by buying expensive players - We'll become City"
"If we remember the good times to entertain us during the bad times - We'll become Liverpool"

So, keep calm and do it the United way

"We invest in young players, That is what we are good at — we’re not like other clubs who can spend fortunes on proven goods. We know that Manchester City are going to pay stupid money, pay silly salaries and all that. We can’t do anything about it. We concentrate on what we can do to try to bring players in for the right reasons. We invest in those who will be with the club for a long time, who will create the character of the club, who will create excitement for our fans. We are very proud of that and we are going to continue that way" - Alex Ferguson 14th May 2012

Why was this not the game at the Etihad instead of the Saints one last week? Wouldn't it have made sense to swap them over?? Hearing lots of negative reports about people not being able to get in.

Went last night, City were very dominant and should have won easily! A few things I noticed:

Devante Cole is pretty bobbins

George Glendon plays level with CBs and barely leaves his own half so looks like he's always got plenty of time but he barely affects the game cos he's so deep. Sees plenty of the ball very very deep and so obviously has plenty of time on the ball.

Fofana looks very good in spells but is in and out of the game.

Jason Denayer looks a prospect at CB

Angelino (I think) looked like a nice player at LB

Kean Bryan Best player on the park, looks like a very decent prospect!

Lopes Pretty average both last night and against Southampton the other night. Like Fofana, in and out if the game!. Obviously has ability though as we know!.
