The interview he gave after his agent spoke, is almost word for word the same as one he said a week earlier, about which not one of you batted an eyelid. It's almost identical. He was even saying similar stuff during the season.

It's the stuff written by his agent which you lot are replying to, not what you know for sure Yaya has said. You have taken the decision to be offended, wheras I have just ignored it as a load of bollocks created by a known troublemaker, & am not offended in the slightest by anything Yaya has done.

Ignoring the cake, his agent slagged off the club, the chairman and the owner. It would have been nice if he'd distanced himself from those comments, he chose not to.

I can accept any player saying their flattered by interest from Club X or thinking Club Y is a great club, as why would they belittle a potential future employer. But surely you don't let your public mouthpiece slag off your current employer?

Nobody is arsed that he hasn't I take it ?

No, me neither. Same thing.

I would do it differently & think Yaya could have handled it better.

In fact I wouldn't have that bloke as an agent.

But deserving of this kind of reaction ? Not in a million years.

Neither of us would have him as an agent...however we also didn't have him as an agent when he brought us up through the ranks and feel an obligation towards the man we feel made our career. Yaya has said this guy is like a father figure to him so that's the missing component. He's emotionally attached to him and the cunty fuck agent is manipulating that. Yaya doesn't seem 100% on board with that but is struggling since he sees him as the guy responsible for his success at some level.

This from Cheshire Today so it must be true.

Man City read riot act to Toure

Manchester City’s patience with the bizarre behavior of star midfielder Yaya Toure has run out. Both the player and his agent have been told that there is no chance that the club will allow him to leave. The agent has also been told that any further public lobbying for a move will lead to unspecified action.

Toure kicked off speculation about his future at the Etihad when he went on twitter to first disagreed then agreed with his agent’s statement that he felt “unwanted” at City.

Agent Dimitri Seluk had said that because Toure had not been presented with a birthday cake by the club on his 31st birthday he felt “unloved” and that he was prepared to go somewhere where he felt more appreciated.

Later, on national radio, he mentioned Barcelona as a possible destination for the player and claimed there was only a “50-50″ chance that he would still be at the Etihad next season.

The story turned to farce when pictures were published which showed that Toure had in fact received not one but two birthday cakes from the club and Seluk then seemed to claim that the cakes were not big enough and had not been presented by the right people.

The claims, which continued in the national press – at one point Seluk said Toure might stay but only if he was offered guaranteed a job at the club after he retired – led to a storm of ridicule in the media and on fan’s forums and forced City to act.

Both the player and his agent were contacted by the club and referred to both the new lucrative four year contract that Toure had just signed and to the club’s internal code of discipline.

Toure has said that he will explain he position following the World Cup and, at the time of writing appears to have deleted his twitter account.

Meanwhile, the club is posed to unveil its first signing of the summer transfer window: Porto midfielder Fernando.

The club is believed to have landed the 26 year-old Brazilian for £15 million. City initially tried to sign the player in January, but failed to agree a fee.

Cheshire Today are such a curious one but i actually trust em. It's weird.

I also like the idea of the club actually bollocking Yaya for this. Footballers are so used to having their arses kissed and getting a new contract for shit like this that its quite surprising (and highly refreshing) if the club have reacted strongly and told him to sit down and shut the fuck up.

Were there pictures of Yaya in his large, palatial garden gazing contritely into his gold fish pond with 3 Range Rovers in the background and Manuel P poised, wagging a threatening finger in his direction?

That's Cheshire Today's style!
