He looks like a tramp and is an utter Kant, but most of the things in the press now are him selling books by saying Taggart was a knob. Plus when he was on TV, he always looked like he was about to punch Chiles, so definitely worth giving him more TV games.

Whinger is annoying me with his moral crusade against Lampard having a job, but at least he's paid to get the best for Arsenal, so utter Kant had to go to a commentator who is supposed to be unbiased. If it was for the week, it'd be Shearer, but as it's a lifetime achievement award it's Clive 'that night in Barcelona' Tyldesley.

K**nes latest book is an updated autobiography coming out on Thursday with more spiteful shit like I am glad I killed Haaland and how Schmikes was a prick so I head butted him, plus carlos queerio and fergietwat were in a relationship blah blah blah. Who cares, I would not brake if k**ne stepped into the road in front of my car.

As hard as I've tried over the last few days, I can't find any authentic source for this, it certainly doesn't appear to be in his book as this particular quote has not been repeated by any of the newspapers who have been serialising the juicy bits.

Of course I may be wrong, but a simple google search simply turns up other forums discussing the pic that has been circulating Facebook (and now apparently twitter). It's quite probably a clever plant from the publicists to draw in non-united fans to buy the book, if so, it's a fantastic tactic.

Camel Gob gets it for me, Keane is simply spewing out crap in his mr angry image to fill his pockets with his paint by numbers book - and is he trying out for a gig with the Dubliners (that feckin beard!)?

I misread the title when I first saw it and thought it meant Graham Poll was the biggest Kant, which I thought a bit harsh and deserving of three yellow cards.

No tefs even make the list!

Asked what he thought of the comments by his former Norway teammate Egil Ostenstad on Twitter, Haaland posted a picture of a bearded Saddam shortly after his capture in 2003 with the message: 'cant take a man seriously when hes got a beard like....'

Why would compensation need to be paid to Alfie for a tackle that didn't end his career?

That's almost akin to saying that Martin Buchan's 'tackle' didn't end Colin Bell's career.

To all intents and purposes, it did.

Even City said it didn't end his career. It was his other knee that went that ended his career.

Jamie,

Whatever the final outcome of the injury, some time later in his 1st autobiography Keane bragged about what he had done and and stated clearly it was a deliberate act to injure Alfie.and that he had waited 2 years for the opportunity to do it.

When it was challenged legally,Keane denied he had ever said that and Eamon Dunphy (his ghost writer) said that he himself had added that bit off his own bat.

Both Alfie and City were waiting on the outcome in order to seek compensation from Keane.

Irrespective of anything else, when Bell came back, he was only a shadow of his former self and, although he 'struggled on' for a while, the writing was already on the wall for him.

This followed on from his enforced absence due to Buchan's thuggery.

Alf-Inge Haaland's career came to a heartbreaking end last night after the injured Norwegian midfielder accepted retirement and was told by Manchester City that he would have to fight his legal case alone against Roy Keane.

The City chairman David Bernstein described the decision to release Haaland as "terribly sad" as the Maine Road club ended five months of speculation that they would embark on a courtroom battle with Manchester United over Keane's tackle on their player in the 1-1 draw at Old Trafford in April 2001.

The 30-year-old midfielder, who has barely played in two years, will have to weigh the cost of pursuing an individual claim against Keane, who wrote in his controversial autobiography that he had deliberately set out to injure his opponent.

However, City's legal advisers told them that their case had been weakened by the fact that Haaland's career-ending injury was in his left knee, whereas it was the right knee with which Keane made contact.

A spokesman for City said: "The necessary medical and consequential legal advice has been received and carefully reviewed. The conclusion is that it would be difficult for Manchester City to take action on medical grounds."

Haaland's advisers have already explored the possibility of a private action and were told that the player would have a strong individual case to claim lost earnings as well as any medical fees that have been accumulated during the course of his treatment. Haaland could even press assault charges against Keane.

However, after making the announcement that they were taking legal advice in August, City's climbdown will appear to many supporters as a public relations mistake that has played into the hands of their wealthier, more successful neighbours.

Bernstein said: "We have taken a very difficult decision to give Alfie his proper notice under his contract to terminate arrangements with him. That has not been done easily. It's very difficult for Alfie and very difficult for us, but it is my responsibility to get a proper balance on these things and protect the club's interests.

"The whole thing has been incredibly sad. It was sad when it first happened. Alfie worked very, very hard, to get himself fit over such a long period."

"I saw Alfie today and discussed this with him and it was not an easy conversation. Believe me, my colleagues and I have agonised over this decision, but I believe we have allowed sufficient time to pass.

"It is an action which in a sense we have been forced to take."
