Lawro and Degenerate predictions gameweek 29

Lawro reverts to type again this week and his opponent is X-Factor trouser snake, Dermot O'Leary. He is an Arsenal fan who was at Old Trafford on Monday to see them beat the rags and carry out the draw for the FA Cup semi-finals.

O'Leary told BBC Sport: "I've been a Arsenal fan since I was five and we lost the 1978 FA Cup final to Ipswich. I was bereft.
"One of the reasons I started supporting them was that they always had an Irish spine to their team - starting with Pat Jennings, then with David O'Leary, Liam Brady and Frank Stapleton. "Brady was always my favourite player but I traded off the fact David O'Leary was my uncle - which he isn't - for most of my primary school years."

Lawro Says
Burnley fought back well for a draw against City at Etihad Stadium earlier in the season but their biggest problem throughout the campaign has been holding on to leads themselves. I don't see them getting a chance to try to do that on Saturday, though.

Manchester City don't play Barcelona until Wednesday so a tea-time kick-off should not affect manager Manuel Pellegrini's selection. The Barca game will obviously be on his mind to some degree, but City cannot afford any more slip ups in the Premier League, not just in the title race but because they are being dragged into the race for a top-four finish.

Above City, I would expect Chelsea to respond to their Champions League exit with an upturn in form.
Below them, the teams are winning all the time. City need to buck their ideas up and get on a run of decent results again too.

Lawro's prediction: 0-2
Dermot's prediction: Burnley might get one but City will get more. 1-4

Merson with his insight is just a phenomenon, with the shit he has spouted this season he must be in line for a booker prize.
However, he has us down for a decent win this week ;-)

Read and be amazed..........
It's a good time to play Man City before they go to Barcelona but I can't see how Burnley are going to live with City. They have a right go, do Burnley, but they just can't defend properly. They are always in games and rarely sit back but with Man City’s class, I can see an away win. It sounds an easy win on paper but I don’t expect it to be easy.

PAUL PREDICTS: 1-3

I'd be happy with a scrappy one nil. Burnley are no mugs, especially at home. Think we'll need to score at least two to win though

Same here NB.

Given our current, indeterminate form, any old win will do as far as I'm concerned.
