Jovetic Not Happy

Here is the place to talk about all things city and football!

Re: Jovetic Not Happy

The thread is about Jovetic not being happy about being left out. And my point is he is entitled not to be, because on performance this season, he deserves to be in the squad, & none of our strikers have such a fantastic history of performance in the Champions League, to make Jovetic think it's correct.

I don't dispute the decision but I do dispute people criticising him for being unhappy about it.

That's all I've said since the start.

Some of you have just gone off the track a bit, talking bollocks.

I'll be quite gutted when he leaves his summer because when we signed him I was genuinely excited about his arrival. I can't say since his signing I've been really looking forward to seeing a player as much as him in a blue shirt.

I was the same.

I think it's fair to say he doesn't fit in with City though, so I won't be 'gutted' from that point of view, as it's best for both. But it's a terrible shame we will never see him at his best in a City shirt.

At least we should get a decent amount of our money back for him though, as he is very highly rated elsewhere.

Like you, the positive is that he's highly rated in Italy and could help us land our other targets. Just a shame that for whatever reason he doesnt fit in.

With all respect mate, the thread develops the way it develops.

If you don't like the way it develops, that's your call to leave the discussion, but the fact that he has been left out of the champions league squad, naturally leads to a discussion about his merits, shortcomings and future, and I don't understand why you feel the need to chastise and moan at people for doing so

If Jovetic were to leave, I will always think:

1. he was injury prone and made of glass
2. he was a talented player who rarely got played in his best position
3. he came to a club with an abundance of midfield and attacking talent who were always going to be picked ahead of him because of point number 1!

Personally I would have picked Bony (if I was limited to attacking players) to miss out on the CL, but I'm pretty sure the deal with him wouldn't have gone through if he hadn't got some sort of confirmation that he would be included in the CL squad.

Considering what we paid for him and the fact that he was off to that African cup thingy, I like to look at Bony as a long term replacement for Negredo rather than a desperate January quick fix.

An ode to Curt, I mean Stevan:

All around me are familiar faces
With their Champions League places
Champions League faces
Playing Barca for those quarter final spaces
Going nowhere
Going nowhere

And I find it kind of funny
I find it kind of sad
The dreams in which my career is dying are the best I've ever had
I find it hard to tell you
I find it hard to take
When the rest of them run in circles it's a very very
Mad world
Mad world

Hello Pellers tell me what's my lesson
Look right through me
Look right through me
And I find it kind of funny
I find it kind of sad
The dreams in which my career is dying are the best I've ever had
I find it hard to tell you
'Cos I find it hard to take
When the rest of them run in circles it's a very very

I'm not.

I'm criticising people for suggesting he should feel the same way as them.

We should get shitfaced together. Then it would all make sense. I decided that.

I feel a bit sorry for Jovetic because under a different manager playing a different system he'd be fantastic in my opinion. The guy is always looking for the ball, giving our players an option and wants to do something positive.
