I really wasn't going to post anything for this game, and I genuinely have no idea what to expect from the boys in Blue tonight. Some of the comments from the home fans actually give me a little bit of hope, but just a little bit :)
COME ON CITY !!!
Am I the only one who is a little worried for this game? 1st leg Barca came from a defeat at home and city from a 5-0 win and now Barca from a win and City from a defeat which probably erased any chance of winning the PL.
City only needs two goals.. even if Barca score 1 early goal.. City still need to score 2 goals to take it to over time.. Im so so nervous.. man that late penalty would have given so much ease..
Think about City attacking us trying to score twice without letting a goal from Messi, Neymar and Suarez.
Aguero should be marked tightly, he's only 1 goal behind Messi in the competition and that's including hattrick against Bayern and scored in first leg. Defensive mistake like Montoya did against Eibar would be punished against City frontlines.
Nope. Can't take anything for granted at this stage. Man City is a quality team with a good coach and world class players. We'll need to play our game, avoid stupid mistakes and try to get an early goal. Let's hope Lucho finds a way to keep the team motivated for this one
I can see us going up early, relaxing a bit too much, letting in an equalizer, and sweating out the rest of the match as City go searching for the aggregate equalizer (1-2). In a way, City scoring first may snap any complacency our players have going in and motivate them to attack City
well now Man City are the last English hope, so now's lets crush that tomorrow
This is a tricky match. Half of the world already considers this duel decided, but one mistake, one goal from City and it's gonna be hell. And early Barca goal is the right remedy for thoughts like that.
Early goals I would say. As even if we score one, it doesn't change much to be honest; they still need 2 anyways.
And you're right, this tie is considered to be over by the majority of the media and other fans. Rightfully so, considering the score of the first leg and the forms of the two teams. To me, this makes Manchester City more dangerous. They usually choke when they're the favorites but play much better when they have nothing to lose (see how they defended their Premier League each year after they won it, compared to the drama when they actually won it). In this case, we have to be really careful.
We have everything to lose here. And City has nothing to lose. The perception of the match has been very tricky. It will be very important to control the game rather than the early goals. Like someone already said, even if we score the first, it doesn't change much. City's objective will remain the same.
That missed penalty...still haunts me, if things go wrong, it's just the kind of thing that proves to be a tie decider...I know their form is not that great, but somehow missed chances turn around and bite you in the ass and we've let them off the hook so easily in the 1st leg, makes me so damn nervous.
We have the experience not to brake down if they score first, home turf, crowd support and MSN should give enough warranties for a qualification, but i don't expect a walk in the park.
Too many people underestimating city. If we have a bad night we will be out.
0:2 can happen easily, with a bit of luck on their side...it's football for heaven sake.
So far, every team who lost their first leg has gone on to win the second leg.I got a really bad feeling about tomorrow. If city play counter attacking football i can see them getting a lot of chances.
Barca are going to trash City 6-0
I blame the ref if we lose.
Guardiola will be able to watch this Wednesday's match between Barça and Manchester City. According to El País, he will sit on his member sit, like another supporter, instead of being in the suite. The coach will also attend this Tuesday's match between Atlético de Madrid and Bayer Leverkusen
Placed some money on City to win the game since the odds are so freaking good. Go Shitty.
