It was away at Leeds in the FA Cup. MOTD that night compared it to the Banks save, which is by far the greatest save ever. Stepney won save of the season over Joe, however. Call it an early agenda.

David Seaman produced an incredible save too. Cup semi at The Swamp, IIRC. Possibly v Boro.

As normal as Martin Keown calling Yaya and Kolo the 'Yaya brothers'

I was swearing at him about that - just after stating he knew them personally then fucking up their surname.

Corrigan came second on both the BBC and ITV that season.

Just watching this as i was out earlier. Silva was fucking great. I've not seen him dribble that much in a game since he came to the club. He was running and gliding past challenges all game. Some of the stuff you could have swore was Messi - there was a ten minute spell in the second half where he must have accelerated past 3/4 challenges on a few separate occasions, playing one twos in and around the area nearly scoring. Literally Messi stuff... Yeah his final ball and finishing let him down a tad today unusually, but i'd love to see that Silva more often.

Watch it back on there and watch him. Well worth it.

Really good performance in general I thought. Defensive lapses aside... Swansea are a good team and another day that would have been 5-0.

I thought Silva was quite sloppy with his passing in the first half but, it only seemed to make him more determined, which I thought was great. He didn't drop the head, we worked hard and as you say above there was a spell, where you could see he just got the bit between his teeth and decided to just go through them.
It didn't quite come off for him, but what I liked about him and also Aguero who by his standards was having an off day in the box, was that neither of them stopped working for the team. Aguero came deep quite often and held the ball up great to link up with the midfield coming out of defence. Bony did it well in his cameo also.
I thought the work rate all around has improved and this above all else, when we are not firing on all cylinders, is what is getting us results, where we were dropping points before.

silva's increased work rate in the last couple of games has been noticeable
he's dropping deeper, making more tackles etc... hopefully we'll see more of the same next season

I thought Silva was great yesterday, and he played the full 90 mins again.

I also thought Agueros first touch was appalling yesterday, if he had a first touch like Silva he would score a hatrick every game

I agree with that and also he played it just a foot too far ahead of himself when he would start to dribble near the box. The reason the likes of Messi and even Silva yesterday are so hard to dispossess when they dribble, is that the ball is never far from the foot, it is always under control. You don't need fancy step overs or flicks and tricks. A low centre of gravity and the ball always at your foot even when running at speed, that is where the true artists show their skill.
A first touch that doesn't bounce three foot away from you helps.

Shit first touch or not ..I think we can forgive him anything as he is the leagues highest scorer.
