Yeah Doug his interview was really good.

It's a great feelin when young lads come through an you can just see from the look on his face it meant the world to him.

Yes, he looked a little nervous as anyone would (remember your first debut) but he didn't actually put a foot wrong to my recollection. In fact, I'd go as far to say that he bossed the back four, making Micah and then Vinnie, feel at home.

HE GAVE THE BALL AWAY (CARLESSLY)TWICE WHICH IN THE PREM MIGHT HAVE COSTS US DEARLY.

APART FROM THAT HE WAS FINE - WOULDNT LIKE TO HAVE HIM AGAINST THE SCUM THOUGH..IT,S ANOTHER LEVEL AND HE,S NOT UP TO IT JUST YET........METHINKS !

Youv'e been saying that Weiss should start ahead of Swp and Vlad got his chance against some shit the other day and didn't take it.
I think maybe half an hour when we are 3 up and need to tighten it up he might be a good option.
I think for him to get to that next level he has to start taking a part in big games

I thought he was defensively solid, but on the ball was quite shoddy.
Fuck knows why but the whole defence went back to hoofing tactics against Boro.

Quite right Mr Hater. Never fails to amaze me people clamouring for some youngster to replace established, experienced, good players at the drop of a hat. Like Truly's tyrranical father said in Chitty Chitty Bang Bang to Dick van Dyck - "Too late, had yer chance, blew it"!

SHOW ME THE POST WHERE I SAID WEISS SHOULD REPLACE SWP?
I SAID I WOULD LIKE TO SEE WEISS PLAY MORE AS WOULD THE MAJORITY OF CITY FANS (APART FROM YOU 2!) AND ILL SAY IT ONCE MORE JUST FOR YOU 2...........IT WAS MINUS FUCKING 5 DEGREES AND NOONE WILL PLAY A GOOD GAME IN THAT WEATHER FFS !!!!!!!!!!!
THEY SAY SWEARING IS DUE TO A LIMITED VOCABULARY. I KNOW THOUSANDS OF WORDS, BUT I STILL PREFER "FUCK OFF" TO "GO AWAY"

Really? Maybe he'll do better next time eh?

Back to Boyata I hope he plays on Monday now as a home game against Blackburn will be better to improve him than plunging him in the semi against the RAGs. If he can make the right quick progress we have a new player.

Boyata started off looking a little nervous but he made an excellant tackle in our box and grew in confidence from there and ended up having a very good game. Looks very very promising.

I met Jason Cundy during my brief stint in television. He is as much of a penis off screen/radio as he is on it.

I thought Boyata did well on a debut in not great conditions, it bodes well for the future and again demonstrates that we are not neglecting the academy, something I think some of us were becoming concerned with.

Mentions to Andrew Tutte and Javan Vidal also making the bench, showing Mancini has no qualms about putting them in if needed. I think Adam Clayton may be the next academy player to see some action.

On another note, I'm not sure if people are aware but Paul Marshall (who was quite highly regarded (England U-20 no less) has gone to Aberdeen. Bit of a shame but shows you have to be a better to make the grade, sure he will still have a good career. Karl Moore was also released and will probably join Leyton Orient in January, and I'm sure many of you are aware Clayton McDonald has joined Walsall permanently.

Certainly a tough task to break through now. Who will be the next to make it?
