A Blast From the Past - City Documentary From 1981

Really enjoyed watching this, really shows the fucking shambles that the club was under Swales, but nice at the same time to see how different football was just 30 years ago, even conducting the manager's job interview on camera.

As involved as he was in our brief success at the end of the 60s, Malcolm Allison clearly was the forerunner to Brendan Rodgers as the 70s and 80s equivalent of an image obsessed soundbyte gobshite.

Thanks for posting. Really enjoyed that. I remember clearly being at school when I heard we had sacked Big Mal. I was fucking gutted. He had me completely believing we were on the verge of greatness.

I worked at the club on a YTS when this was being made. Fucking nightmare.

Great viewing. What a shambles of a club though! Imagine board discussions are a bit different now!
