i didn't get that at all. In fact, i thought Vinnie and Pabs were legit complimentary. Pablo does get a minor dig in at the Brasilians for their dancing, joking shenanigans. Fucking hardcore gaucho fucker Pablo is. I love his haircut.

Berti..there but for the grace of god goes 99.99% of lads that get any sniff at a professional level. And he won't have made any cash from his 15 years pursuing his dreams really....likely barely scraping by for the love of it and just hoping on hope that something might come thru and give him his real shot. I suppose tho at some level, living back in Brasil and getting a cap for them probably gives him an advantage when he sets up his business selling <insurance/cars/bread>....was that his chunky little son? His gaff didn't look too shabby tho, did it?

And how funny was Hughes to sub him in? Tafiamazing.

cheers

wait...yr saying he got paid 250,000 euros a year in Romania? Interesting. The guy who runs the Orlando City academy was at the Arsenal academy as a kid but moved on to play in Hungary for a good long while. I wonder if he was making something similar? I am somewhat shocked. Here in the US most average MLS players, which Glauber would have been, make probably 50-70K a year. That's probably 50-60% of the league. Other's make between 100-200K, and then the thin end at the top have a couple cunts on each time that make 300K-6M, depending on the market and your club size, etc. Most at the upper end, and there will be maybe 3-5 per team max, would fall under 1M and between 300K-700K. Unless your fucking Kaka, or that little Mexican kid who used to play for Spurs or Robbie 'fucking' Keane....etc you won't make a ton of cash in the US. But you probably can make more than playing in the Champo or in League 1 in England or in South America if you are a very good, but not great, player.

Maybe i need to rethink my post above about Glauber's cash flow, tho 250K Euros p.a. that isn't exactly "fuck you" money even for professionals, let alone footballers. If he's found a way to comfortably save half or more then he can start his business and feel good about having a chance to be a successful businessman if he's smart. Seems like a great guy with a good head on his shoulders and so appreciative of us and his time. I hope he does well in life.

cheers

I'm sure he earned decent money at Nurnberg as well, nothing stupid, but decent.

Apparently we even offered him an extension at the time, but he left for playing time elsewhere.

Between 2006 and 2010, they had really good salaries in the romanian football, hard to explain why, but it all started after Steaua almost got in the UEFA Cup semifinal. I remember Vaslui got Adailton, a player from PSG in the past and Parma, a good player from Seria A and he got almost 450.000 per year. Julio Cesar, the ex player of Real Madrid got a contrat with Dinamo for about 350.000 and Steaua got Mendoza from Marseille for 350.000.

But from 2010, It all went down and at some point, Glauber was a very well paid footballer, but his club, Rapid, almost went bankrupt. Now the salaries are low, the biggest are (according to the media) at FCSB, ex-Steaua, they have a limit of 10.000 per month for the best players.

But with strategies, teams like Petrolul, U.Cluj, Vaslui, CFR Cluj and Poli Timisoara went almost bankrupt and half of their owners are in jail now.

PS: I don't know how much of those money Glauber actually did get. He had a 3 year contract so that is for about 750.000+bonuses. He might still have a conflict with Rapid after they declared insolvency 2 years ago.
