City sign Luke Brattan.

Here is the place to talk about all things city and football!

City sign Luke Brattan.

Brisbane roar midfielder. Loaned out to Bolton. Was quite suprised when I heard the runour a while back. Smart money is he probably won't make our 1st team, but I hope I'm wrong.

He's had some flashes of real quality over here but its a long way from the Prem. Time will tell.

If we sold him to someone in Europe, would we be able to get some sort of fee, maybe few million?
Maybe that could be the reason for signing him

A nice FFP workaround model, sign all the NYCFC and Melbourne players on a freebie and sell them on as MCFC players, earning £££££

Are we absolutely sure that MCFC have signed him, or is it City Football Group and he is basing himself at the Academy to train when not out on loan?

Don't think we always buy with the expectation of a player making the team anyway.

It's being reported as manchester city. Seems strange to me too, that said an international being given a stint in the championship before we decide on a free isn't a bad signing when you put it like that.

I wonder if he's struggling to make the jump, cm in England is much different to cm in the a league

So why bring him over. It's not like the CFA are novices?

Bolton announced that they wouldn't use him due to their relegation predicament. The manager wanted players up for the scrap. ie, their own.

Well that's not working is it
Why bother with him anyway then?
All seems very strange.

Bolton haven't paid their players since October so hopefully they go in to administration and fuck off to League 3 for the rest of their existence. Horrible club and horrible fans!

Funny that as roar players possibly not getting paid was how negotiated away from here. Seems to follow him.

Managed to watch 30 minutes of Bolton last night, without doubt the biggest mistake I've made in my life. The badminton on the other channel had better football.
