That's what we've created. Barca had tiki-taka, we spawned it's slow, inbred cousin

The reason we can't simply increase the pace of our passing is that just far too many of our players are ridiculously one footed or one dimensional or just not confident/brave enough. The likes of Sagna, Kolarov, Navas, Sterling are just too one footed and this makes them very predictable. Bony is just too slow to make any impact. Toure also slows the tempo down. Teams have also figured that the way to stop Silva by simply giving him no time of the ball and crowding him and push him deeper.

Aguero also has no impact since he plays very poorly when the defense is crowded, which happens a lot due to our slow tempo.
If we are to play faster football, we need a overhaul at both full back positions as well as a Toure replacement. And play Iheanacho more.

I like that term tbf. I can already see the headlines for Saturday
Manchester City's typical pissy-passy football was too much for resilient Sunderland in a cracking Boxing Day encounter

You don't think we play a boring possession based game? Difference between us and the team and style we're trying to emulate, is they had drive and endeavor. When we upped the tempo in the last 20 mins and stopped taking 3-4 touches before passing, we scared the shit out of arsenal

It's hard to argue against that fact. And itv was the same in a couple of the European games. Nearly all of them in fact.

There is little wrong with tactics or style of play. It's the energy required to implement it properly that's the problem.
