I'm guessing it's less trying to show off and more of a low confidence player trying to stick to what he thinks he does best. Bony is playing like a lump, but he is far from a cunt. There is a player in there somewhere, but doesn't look like it'll work out at City. Wilf seems like a really nice guy and should be getting way less hate from City fans than he does. But we all need a resident boo-boy, eh?

And before you replay, fuck off doom and CARL

I kind of agree, however the level of 'hate' is always going to be commensurate with the amount of money we spend on a player.

Bony is without doubt a good technical player from what I saw of him before he joined. However, and this links to what many others have said about Leicester this season, he was in a team where he had the freedom to have a go, to take a half chance, and he was good enough that his efforts in that regard often resulted in a goal or assist. We don't try half chances, we try to play into a gold plated opportunity, and it seems taking a flyer is discouraged as it loses us possession,

This is much the same issue we had with Dzeko - he thrived on good service as he was a poacher in the box, but we provided him with the sum total of next to fuck all, and complained when he looked like a donkey holding up the ball on the fucking half way line. With Bony, (and for that matter this relates to the criticism Sterling is getting too), we throw a player into a completely rigid role which don't maximise their actual capabilities.

If we want a holdup player, buy a fucking hold-up player who is good with his back to goal. Stop buying a player because they are flavor of the month for scoring, then try to change them into something completely different to what gave them their price-tag in the first place and destroying what talent they did have!

I am not a Bony hater or a fan of his, judging him is not difficult he lacks tempo and is just jogging about with no urgency. His performance at Norwich just confirms his lack of interest in being a top player, Jogged on jogged around and Jogged off ! I have held off slagging him, 30 mill pissed away, Not good enough to lace Edins boots who we let go for 12 mill. How he keeps Kelechi out is Pellers stubbornness or stupidity. No hard feelings Wilf enjoy the dough .

No touches in the opposition penalty area is disgusting. For that reason alone I'd be happy not to see him play for City again. The lack of urgency on his play or the basic premise to get into the box to force the play is not what I want to see in a striker. We basically play with a man short as he offers nothing in midfield where he thus plays his game. Far better to play Iheanacho or Faupaula or even just an extra attacking midfielder.

When you compare what Bony brings to the table compared with Tevez it makes we weep

I think Pellers has played it quite well for introducing Nacho this year. For all his talent and incredible promise, Nacho has shown recently that he is young and sill a work in progress. Some great games where he make a big impact, but also a few where he goes missing.

Please don't say Faupala . Yes he did ok against Chelsea but I have watched him a few times for the EDS and I was very surprised with his Chelsea performance. He has disappointed me previously

Okay, so Faupala is not the answer. But neither is Bony. Always think it's in the managers interest to give a young lad a go of a few reasons.

1 - they are usually very keen to make a go of it and will give their all. Sometimes this backfires and they run around like headless chickens, but it's better than not running around as some of the current set up do

2 - fans usually give much more leeway to a young kid than an older player. They treat him as "one of our own" whereas someone like Bony can get more stick as being seen as a mercenary who doesn't care. Probably is not true but that can be perception for you.

3 - you never know, you may have a player on your hands which solves a lot of problems. Even if the player doesn't end up being good enough, they will then be sold for a higher price than they perhaps otherwise would've done. See Lopes move for nearly £9m as evidence of this

I wouldn't say he is completely and utterly shit. But for us he is a square peg trying to fit a round hole. He will go to a West Ham or a Newcastle or a Burnley or a Bournemouth and score goals like he did for Swansea. Good luck to him when he does leave.

I hope it is soon as I would sooner Iheanacho played instead, though I have my doubts whether it will be in the summer myself
