I find this opinion weird. They can win it because they don't belong in the top anyway? Isn't that a bit condescending and the type of treatment we would have hated to get if say, Hughes would've won it in his first season with us? I'm asking because you seem like a level headed blue NB and perhaps I'm missing something?

I want Leicester to win it primarily because I hate spuds. They then get my vote my default. I happen to think they will struggle in a couple of years once their best players are either, that bit older(Vardy is 29 now) or are sold ( think Vardy, Mahrez Kante or either of the centre backs Drinkwater)or maybe this season has been a perfect storm of form and they struggle to replicate it. Last season until ten games to go they were woeful. I doubt they will be lower than 7/8th next season but the season or two after that is when I think they will falter.

Of course, as PL champions and the TV deal they will have plenty of money to buy replacements or indeed reinforcements. That is not easy as plenty of clubs, ourselves included, will testify. Blackburn in 1995 had more money than most under Walker, yet were relegated within four or five years. Leeds, though they didn't win the title in the O'Leary era, were up there for a few years and reached a CL semi, yet were relegated a few years later. Going back in history, both the rags and Villa were relegated within six years of winning the league, then the European cup. Newcastle under Bobby Robson were top four for a few years and got to a couple of cup finals yet were relegated not long after. If you had said City would be relegated in 1983 at the turn of the year in 1982 when we were top of the league you would've been certified insane.

There are plenty of teams I would sooner see relegated than Leicester, but I just happen to think their bubble will burst relatively soon and in hugely spectacular style. Thanks for the compliment about being level headed though!

I'm sticking £10 on them getting relegated next season. They will have the pressure of being champions and everyone wanting to beat them. I think the big boys including ourselves will have also been burnt and probably feel slight embarrassed by little Leicester and will want revenge. I think next season will be very very hard for them.

I think next year will be too soon to go down. But you are correct in saying it will be a very difficult, different season to this. The big boys like you say will be desperate to make up for this season and everyone wants to beat the champions.

Plus, we don't want them to equal our record of going down a year after being champions, do we!

Ipswich did awesome, came up, got into Europe and then couldn't cope with it, as the pressure got yo them and they got relegated the following season. I think SoF has a good chance of winning her bet

Not forgetting Jamie Vardy could well be the next Marcus Stewart.

Not sure about that Mase Marcus was a nice lad, Vardy is a bring it on type. He loves a battle.

I have been saying the same thing every time I have seen them play this season. The last four times they have been on the box they have been fucking awful they have had luck by the bucket load.

Paradoxically, I still want them to win the league, but everytime I watch them I want to see them lose, already.
I'm sick of their tactics. Get this season over then let's get back to decent football.

It's the shite referees that allow Leicester Lumberjacks to continually get away with it, which then leads to conspiracy running rife that the FA are bent allowing this shit to happen

I hate Spurs, have since the 81 final replay, but at least this season they've played some bloody good football

i'm fairly certain that we're still going to win the league, so i would say "No" Leicester is not the biggest success story ever.

cheers

Leicester play anti football and may or may not win the League. Admittedly I didn't think I would see a club like them ever take the title in an era when money is king but they've done it through ten men behind the ball and kick fuck out of anything that moves.
But even in the 70's money was a factor, but not to the same extent. Forest were European Champions twice ffs, playing entertaining football along the way.
So Forest by a country mile. It's not even close.
City and sniffing knickers.
Come on Blues.

Just watched the Leicester game. Not really sure what the fuck they are moaning about? He clearly dived and was trying to cheat. They got very lucky with their pen. Carrol appeared to get the ball, it was very soft.

Lots of stories in the media this morning. A possible extended ban for vardy because of his reaction to Moss booking him for diving, but only if Moss includes it in his report (that rule is bollocking and should be changed).

Also the Leicester fans not asure classy as the media likes to portray them, gold and sullivans families had to be removed before the final whistle by security for their own safety, because things being thrown at them by those lovable Leicester fans.

Leicester City striker Jamie Vardy has been charged with improper conduct for his behaviour following his second-half dismissal against West Ham on Sunday, the Football Association has announced.

Vardy was dismissed in the 56th minute of the 2-2 draw against West Ham after referee Jon Moss adjudged the striker to have dived under a challenge in the box from Angelo Ogbonna.

The England international reacted furiously, pointing and shouting in the face of the official before eventually leaving the pitch.

From the red card, Vardy is currently due to serve a one-match ban, which rules him out of Sunday's home game against Swansea City. But the FA's charge could lead him to miss the trip to Manchester United on May 1 as well.

The FA also charged Leicester for failing to control their players following the awarding of an 83rd-minute penalty to West Ham.

Vardy and Leicester will have until Thursday evening to appeal.

In a similar case this month, Chelsea striker Diego Costa was given a one-match suspension, fined £20,000 and warned as to his future conduct after he protested angrily to referee Michael Oliver rather than leaving the pitch immediately after seeing red at Everton.

Former Premier League referee Howard Webb does not believe Vardy has a clear case to answer.

"The FA will look at whether to punish Vardy further for berating Moss," Webb wrote in his column for the Times. "They extended Diego Costa's ban recently for his aggression towards Michael Oliver but Vardy might be saved by the fact he left the field fairly quickly.

"Screaming at the referee like that wouldn't happen if this was a Champions League game, as Leicester face next season. Refereeing as a foreign official was always easier as players didn't know you well so feared and respected you more."
