This. All this. I find it mad to be angry with him due to injuries.

The best captain of my lifetime. What's happened to him breaks my heart.

Something hasn't been right in the camp since those rumours of him shagging somebody's missus. Around that time, he was always on Twitter, then he never used it. And the general positive feel of the squad has been fairly morose since then.

Never on Twitter? You're following the wrong one.

And you can be sentimental or you can want to win stuff

You misunderstand. He was always on Twitter. Now it's obviously scheduled tweets and somebody doing it for him.

as per Vinnie, I m no fool to suggest to drop him ramdomly, maybe disrupting some good pairing in the making. Just keep him in the group as a driving leader, use him as rotational on injuries and bins, and see if he can recover completely by a somewhat miracle.
also as already pointed out, selling him wont bring us much value in exchange, as the things stand out.
my half penny at least

So let's pay him £100k+ a week to motivate the others - isn't that what the manager is for.

And 'Sparky'? Seriously?

salaries can be adapted to different roles with mutual agreement, a good means to measure loyalty too.
as far as I recall Zabba joined in the summer of 2008 at the beginning of Hughes tenure. if I am wrong, I am glad to stand corrected, wasnt following City on daily basis at those times tbh.

He needs a long period of time off and slow rehab - tonight's injury was probably fear of any reoccurrence to previous injuries or over-reliance on other muscles. His time may not be far off, but its frightening that we have no other real leaders

You're right that he does need a long period off.

But he'll be fighting to be fit for Euros now and I imagine he'll be fit just in time.

You're timing is correct, it was the use of the word Sparky that brings offence

Time is up for Vinnie as our leader I am afraid. We need to have someone who is reliable and he is nowhere near that anymore. I think he has been awesome and has led us to some great victories and trophies. His header against the rags in the 1-0 will always be the lasting memory that led us to the title.

However, as someone said earlier, he has become an Owen Hargreaves. There is little chance of him returning to Vinnie of old . Too many injuries and too often.

What annoys me is our medical team. He cannot be putting in 100% effort during training. The intensity must be poor because as soon as he ramps it up for the game, he breaks down. That's twice this season he has lasted just 8 minutes after supposedly being passed fit. That is not good enough and if that's happening to our most important player, wtf is happening with the rest. Is it any wonder we have the most recurring injuries in the League?

Agree 100 %. Since Mancini fired our medical team we've gone downhill in terms of fitness. The strange part is that nothing has been done about it even since his departure. I'm guessing it must have something to do with Pellegrini and his staff trusting their judgement more than the medical team's or the medical team not having any backbone when put under pressure by the management. Either way, it's incompetent.

I don't know how many of you follow him on Facebook, but after the first injury, he posted a lot of videos of his recovery, then, when he fucked up with Sunderland on Boxing Day, he went quiet, came back, again with videos of how things will be good, the quiet again.

In every of those "recovery" videos, he was training with someone outside the club, never seen him before, maybe a specialist hired by him or the club to help him.

At this point, I would ask Belgium to pay his contract. That, or he should play for free.

It might not be just the medical team - both Nasri and KDB look like little porkers after time out from injury. I'm not surprised KDB looked like he was running through treacle in his first game back after 60 minutes. Run that fat off you frickin blimps.
