Thanks Demi, it's been emotional.

Had a good 2 months at the end of his first season but before then he was absolutely dreadful and cost us in most matches he played. Then he was absolutely shite again last season.

Thanks for those 2 months, but overall caused us more problems than helped us.

A player that gets a worse rap than he deserves for my money. Time to go for sure, but I'll hold fond memories.

Spot on, but I couldn't help but like him...a little bit. Typical Pellegrini signing.

I recall watching the World Cup Final which MDM was a star player and thinking that if someone had told me this 6 months ago I would presume they were smoking crack.

Well past his best by the time he got to us but we paid peanuts for him.

Never once complained about his role in the squad and in the end, was a vital part in a league winning season.

All the best MDM.

His performance away to Hull in his first season after Kompany was sent off was superb. Marshalled the back line with Garcia in crucial game for winning the league. Second season most minutes on the pitch for out field player. Last season was one too many should never have been kept on at expense of Denayer.
Overall a decent signing at the price, shame we got him past his best. Still rangles with me that we signed him tho and Athletico used money to sign Alderweider and look at the player he was last season with Spurs.

Was a big part of out title winning season. Muchas gracias Señor. Will remember his time with a mixture of fondness and disbelief at times. However, he was ours and as such I wish him all the best

He had his ups and downs at City but always a professional. I'll never forget his part in the 13/14 title run in when he was immense. His ponytail may be cut off but that will never be forgotten either

All the best daft Martin
