Sakho gets off scot free

Looks like his expensive lawyers have managed to get the drug cheat off.

Yes, some cock-up in the process I expect.

The party line being trotted out is he hasn't done anything wrong and the substance was never on the banned list.

So why exile yourself and miss some important games. Europa cup final comes to mind.

Never mind Europa Cup final WW, he'd be starting for France tomorrow if it wasn't for this.

I've been trying to find out what it was that he took, but not seen it mentioned anywhere - that's... awfully convenient.

This stinks. If it wasn't a banned substance then why have the interim ban. Either UEFA or the dippers have fucked up big time time here. If it turns out he is innocent of drug taking then he has potentially missed out on two huge games for club and country for fuck all. I'd be mightily pissed if I was him.

He made his senior bow against Iceland, it likely wouldn't have happened if Sakho was there and Mangala may not have even been in the squad if Sakho hadn't been banned.

Just like Candlepool to debate the existence of the ruling.

Remember the Champion's League when they didn't qualify but somehow still got into the following years competition. Now I'd argue that is was a massive cockup and oversight by UEFA to not have the winners qualify, but that wasn't the rule at the time so they shouldn't have qualified.

Hold a candlelit vigil, lay a wreath, UEFA bend over for that shitstain of a club.
