Does signing a new contract automatically negate previous sell on clauses?

I don't think so.

In this case i don't think there is a sell on clause, i think Shrewsbury got a straight up 700k payment. Joe arrived in the days when sell ons were not as common.

I think it's a case of youth development contribution that gets attached to every player.

You do like a crap player so I'm not shocked.

Any chance you're leaving if Denayer gets jettisoned?

Cheers

Youth training compensation definitely has an expiry date, of which Joe is well past. I honestly doubt we'll have to pay a penny to anyone else which is a bonus for us.

As for finding a mug to take Yaya, you have china of course but perhaps a newly owned AC Milan would fancy him, certainly would be a fit for all concerned.

That's a bit ironic.

In the past, Yaya's agent always seemed to be saying that the player would be moving on from City (tactics, I suppose ??).

Now he's saying Yaya will fight for his place.....it seems as though the world could be turning upside down.

10m for someone who doesn't play...talk about playing chicken.

Surely one of these Italian clubs will give in and take him on deadline day. This way they save paying a few month's wages I guess.

Totally agree John, I love the amount of people that seem to know more than our coaches/ managers when it comes to youth team players.

Quite sure if he was good enough then he'd be playing. The last two managers do watch them everyday unlike us so I'll back their judgment.
