Maybe he found Rodgers's book of quotes in his desk and thought he'd try a few out. Maybe whilst wearing a black armband and holding a wreath whilst lighting a candle or two?

When you phrase it like that NB, it's as though he's been partaking of a few magic mushrooms.

Ha ha "He took them to eight in the premier league table" That's not an achievement. "I want to drive on a big bus through Liverpool." Well carry on the way you are and you'll be on the no. 27 to the job centre. Speccy twat

I think it's a laudable ambition, but as a former lorry driver I would suggest that he first registers with a minicab company, or perhaps sign on with uber to see if he can develop skills in dealing with the general public whilst at the same time driving them safely to their destination.

Then, if he still feels up to it, he could go to Arriva or Stagecoach with some solid experience on his CV.
