What has rashford achieved at either club or international level that ranks him higher than iheanacho?
Or Jesus for that matter?

The answer is absolutley nothing other.

It's because he plays for manchester united.

Or am I missing something else??

Any mention of the criteria they used? Or did they have a slow afternoon, Googled some names and drew them out of a hat?

From a quick glance it looks like we're the only team to have 5 players in the list.

Reads like the 59 Currently Most Consistently Performing Under-21 Players

The term wonderkid, to me, implies a potential Ballon D'Or winner. Can't see any of the top 5 making the shortlist (tbf to Donnarumma, mostly because he is a keeper).

I like Alli and think that he can become a great player, if he keeps this up. But he doesn't excite me, really. Maybe I'm a tad bitter, but that's how I feel.

Coman is a speed merchant and an average talent.

Renato Sanches' most impressive quality is his physique for his age.

Rashford is an average talent high on confidence. The English media will knock him down soon enough.

I think there are many meanings to the term wonderkid but I have to say I disagree with your "criteria". IMHO at U20 it's way too early to say who is or is not potential Ballon D'or winner. To me Coman reminds me of Bale and if you can reach those levels you IMO are capable of winning Ballon D'or under normal circumstances (i.e. no Messi-level player around).

To me the term 'Wonderkid' has means someone who is truly exceptional talent amongst his age group.
Donnarumma is the perfect example of a wonderkid for me.

Alli, Coman, Sanches, G.Jeaus etc hugely promising and actually already very good players but would I use the wonderkid for any of them? No.
