Pep fucked up with his arrogant stance at the start of the season, so yes , keep him underweight for two more seasons , he will produce.

I disagree Zuricity. I think what we are seeing from Yaya now is a direct result of how Pep handled it and I think you would have seen more of last year's performances from him otherwise.
He looks fitter and looks like he wants to play for the team.
If that is true and it is about the team and not a means to an end for him, then by all means yes I'd have him on the squad. Yaya has no equal in the Prem. for controlling s game.

If Pep is responsible for getting Yaya to get the finger out, then I say we'll done Pep.

Pep did the right thing freezing Yaya out earlier in the season. Him and his agent were being completely disruptive.

Since Yaya has come back he's been hungrier than he has been in the last year and a half.

If he accepted a massively reduced contract, then keeping him for an extra year could be a wise move. But I'm not sure if he'd accept that.

I'd have him in a heartbeat on a rolling one-year contract without his agent, or without his agent mouthing off ahead of every transfer window.

I don't know if this will happen, but looking at him this way, you have to say that we were really lucky to watch him in our shirt.

A lazy cunt in many moments, but alongide Vieira, Lampard, Slippy G and Gingercholes, Yaya is one of the best midfielders in the Premier League era. No doubt about it. Almost impossible to control.

I went with C. I've always been a Yaya fan but I think he is in twilight of his career. I'd give him year or two extension so that we'd have him buy should/when his Performance drops off the cliff it would be cheap for us to get rid.
Sometimes we're good and sometimes we're bad but when we're good, at least we're much better than we used to be and when we are bad we're just as bad as we always used to be, so that's got to be good hasn't it?

Let's not kid ourselves that he's now playing for a last big payday, and it's not going to be with us.

He will get a 2 year deal somewhere on silly money. At his age I highly doubt we would offer anywhere near his current package, and I don't think we'd give him more than a year either. Would be nice to think he may stick around, but it's very unlikely.

He'll also command a sign on fee, for his troubles.

He cannot have his cake and eat it, or can he, whatever Pep has won, the battle and Yaya is benefiting, plus he looks 3 stone lighter.

Is that cake laced with brandy?

Lost those 3 stone pegging it from the dibble.

Only if he is playing second fiddle to a dynamic young ball winning midfielder , that is what we need.

Lets see after the Spuds game when he will be playing against the best midfield in the country.

He said he wants to stay here. Only way is if China offers him a crazy deal or we pull another Lampard with NYCFC or something like that.

Yes, he has said that. However who could blame him for fucking off for a couple of years and banking one final wedge. He will always be a club legend and perhaps could come back at some point down the line. I just don't think we would pay him anywhere close to what he could get elsewhere, so we should probably just enjoy his performances whilst he is playing for a deal.
