Rags are 4 points+goal diff from the top 4.
Dippers are sinking like a stone.
Arsenal are shitting themselves.
We look like we are getting our act together and have an 'easy' run of games.
Wonder what they are telling the refs?

Justified logic wrote:It's an old trick: make the rules so complicated that they are open to interpretation and you can make them do anything you want - physical challenges, dissent, off-sides(!!!), playing advantage, quick free-kicks, goal-line officials who are blind to all but whether or not the ball crossed the line, added time, post-match reviews of match decisions, use of social media, crowd behaviour, ...the list goes on. I don't think it has necessarily been deliberate but the complicity, sorry complexity, is a natural result of creating rules to fix the shortfalls of other rules, the evolution of the off-side rule being a prime example. There's no realistic chance of the Associations simplifying the game as the direction of travel is predominantly the other way, video evidence being the one exception, and influential and manipulative forces within or associated with the game can get decisions bent in their favour - and the game thrives on controversy and argument anyway.
