Mascot for the away leg

Postby ashton287 » Tue Jan 19, 2010 12:58 pm

I just got a phone call from manchester city letting me know that my little cousin has won the competition to be the mascot for the away leg at the swamp, and i was like "are you serious" and i feel the need to tell you all, this day really couldnt get any better, well it could when we beat them later but im going off the presumption that were gonna win 3-1 anyway

That's brilliant, truly a day he will remember for the rest of his life. All we need now is for the blues to oblige.

That happened to me. It was against Birmingham on a new years day, can't remember what year, but my Dad sorted out for me to be mascot for my birthday. Game got called off coz of snow and I never got to be one.
Truely gutted.

my lad was mascot against bristol city in the cup in 2007 and I got to meet everyone, sven and the boys. Ned was captain on the night and took us around to everyone 1 by 1 and introduced us. My lad Got to play on the pitch in front of the crowd whilst the teams were warming up, he got a bit of a kick around with them as well. I got a few pics (about 100) and I have the one with Paul Dickov as my desktop background ;-)

I had a great day out, I never asked the lad, but I am sure he enjoyed it too.

I heard that it's customary for all mascots to be taken into a private changing room afterwards and be bummed by Moonchester.
"Like all bullies, they've just found out that there is a much bigger guy in town, someone who is richer and more powerful than their worst nightmare. And this smiling Arabic assassin is intent on stealing all the treasures they've nicked off everyone else, and pulverising them into commercial and footballing oblivion as he does so."
