Plenty of carling cup games.

Would qualify for the EFL cup as well!

Both very true.
TBH, I would think he'd be mad to go to us or the rags Espania at his age.

We're not bidding, have never thought about lodging a bid, yet somehow we're still ruining football.

Sounds off again for everyone. Too much money RM & City are all claiming (like Pogba the season before).

Think he'll move now next season for around £200m.

Hopefully we land Alexis.

I suspect we did bid for him, tbh. We did already last summer, and Pep really wants him, I think.

A bunch of reports we bid something like £34.5m but Monaco turned it down. Here's one report from 31 August 2016 (L'Equipe originally reported it):

I love our club, but of course we will deny bidding for players we don't get when it is in our interests to not.

We are a more secretive club about our bids anyway. We seem to like to do things in private, which Sam Lee's reporting (and interviews on 93:20 Podcast) seems to suggest is the way we operate.

Conte, for example, admits he bids for players to show fans they are trying to sign players, or whatever other propaganda/counterintelligence/mind games managers and owners play to suit their interests.

Do we ever admit bidding for players we don't sign these days? Well, other than Alves, but that was a verbal agreement he reneged upon. City surely thought we had him.

Alves deal was probably made public by his camp because he was shagging Txiki up the wrong one while giving blowjob to PSG.
Sometimes we're good and sometimes we're bad but when we're good, at least we're much better than we used to be and when we are bad we're just as bad as we always used to be, so that's got to be good hasn't it?

If this stuff online about City and Real meeting in Los Angeles and agreeing not tonpay the absurdly high price for Mbappe then im glad.
I like to see clubs banding together and not being forced to pay high prices and inflate the market.

Wenger will sneak in with a cheeky £35m bid.

Don't forget the Arsenal Penny that they end date up keeping after they missed out on Suarez. Expect it to be £35,000,000.01

This is where I see Monacao getting it all wrong. They're are selling everyone behind the the lad and expecting another big season and his value to rise. He's not going to have the same service he did last year. If I were them, I sell the striker and then use that money to reinenforce. Throw another young kid up front and hope that service is so good that you can repeat the process.
