Are the pundits still beating the drum of how it’s the dippers year? Or has the realisation that they are probably just not quite good enough sunk in?

They gave Salah MoTM FFS.
He took his goal well in fairness and I thought that might be what he needs to get him going like last season, but he went straight back to being shit and stayed there for the rest of the game.
Furminho pretty much the same when he came on.
Truth is, I wouldn’t have given any of the Scouse MOTM. Why do it have to be a Liverpool player. They were poor collectively.
They have trouble finishing this year.

totally agree
that said, i stand by the fact that we should be scoring more than we do. we create so many fucking chances that we should be scoring 7/8/9 goals in some games - today included. huddersfield should have been double figures. it’s not being greedy, it’s wanting to see all our good play rewarded.

It was not a matter for time.
Thought Liverpool were really poor tonight and one decent shot took the game. After last season, where they finished 4th let's not forget, I thought that they'd really push on but the reality is that they look lesser a team. With their full 9 game programme for pre-season and their supposed GGpresse, which I've not seen too much of, they look a tired team already. We've also heard that certain players had injuries going onto this game yet 2 of them played from the start. If you have to play mind games with the likes of Huddersfield, and your supposed best friend then you really are clutching at straws for the long run.
They've won games but I'm not convinced they are the real deal in respect of what the media want them to be.

I read that today and it made interesting reading, even though I cannot stand this 'xg' shit. What it did show is that even though we're nowhere near our best we're still creating more than anybody else whilst having the best defensive shape in the league.
And we haven't even started yet.

Interesting. Yet we still aren’t considered the best PL side ever.

I seen that BBC poll as well, a fanboys click-bait. Reality is that we are the best ever team in the league, not just Premier League era, over the course of the season. The records and stats are only there to prove the point.
When chatting to the old Sky 4 they'll always try and move the goalposts, I just bring them back to the above and ask them to state who is the best over the course of one season. No arguement.

Ps. I don't remember seeing the Rags mentioned, what are their xy results so far apart from a minus goal difference?

I'm sure I've seen it explained on here before, but it made no sense when I read it.
It'll probably make no sense when it's explained again, but;
What the fuck are expected goals, and more importantly, who works it out, and how.
And come to that, why?
Could it be they just look at Lawro and Degenerate's guesses every week and average them out?

Apparently it means that what we can all see with our own eyes is backed up by some stats that make it legitimate.
Otherwise it wouldn’t matter.
It’s a bit like tap ins not counting.
Well not quite. I made that bit up.

The two French national picks of Deschamps ahead of Laporte on show in dipperland. Zouma seems distinctly average and Sakho the same but he also lost the game for Palace with two late errors. Both looked ponderous throughout. Anyway it's good to see the rags slithering further down the table, could drop into the bottom half tomorrow if Leicester kick a win out of Arsenal.

Clearest penalty for handball you will see this season not given at Arsenal. Leicester bossing the game and should be ahead

Bellerin looked like a worldy a couple of years ago and now just looks like Mickey Pearce.
