Fully expect them to have the 'new manager' bounce for the next few games. In fairness any interim manager would achieve that.
Then after a few weeks they will slip back into a rut knowing that the interim manager is a dead man walking.

His first five games should be straight forward, he willie hailed as son of Fergie, then reality will set in.

It was the perfect time to sack him. Let him take the Dipper game and hopefully get a draw and then sack him leaving whoever took charge to go against 3 relegation candidates and a beatable Bournemouth. Plus, the FA Cup, the only realistic chance of silverware.
In the words of my Old Man, "Life will never be the same without Man City, so get it in while you can".
